As revealed at Comic-Con in 2019, the Phase 4 slate is coming to completion in 2021. Marvel Studios has given fans the latest update on its forthcoming movie calendar. According to this update, the company has four untitled films slated for release in 2024.

What these mystery films are has been the subject of much conjecture. But nothing has been officially verified as of yet. People have been still making their voices heard on social media. And to everyone’s surprise, Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds has weighed in on the debate.

The prediction game began with a Tweet by Phase Zero-MCU. The Tweet entailed a list of upcoming Marvel Studio movies. These titles include;

Following this, Phase-Zero’s producer and host Brandon Davis retweeted with his own prediction. In no particular order, his list entails suggestions namely, Captain America 4, Shang-Chi 2, and Deadpool 3 among many others.

To this tweet, Ryan Reynolds took the liberty of making his thoughts on this list of untitled Marvel movies known. His tweet certainly left fans puzzled about what those suggestions meant. Regardless, this is what his tweet read;

Deadpool in The MCU

The last time fans saw Ryan Reynolds on screen was in his latest movie Free Guy. Starring Reynolds, the film tells the story of an undercover bank teller who finds that he is a character in an open-world computer game and goes on to become its hero. In its first week of release, the film smashed numerous box office records for pandemics.

Fans are also eagerly awaiting to see Reynolds in Deadpool 3. Although the third installment is a long way from release, the future of Deadpool remains up in the air. Reynolds’ retweet encourages fans to imagine how will Deadpool merge with the MCU. With Disney recently acquiring Fox, we can’t help but wonder if Deadpool 3 will be one of Marvel’s mystery films.

Ryan Reynolds’ tweet mentions some odd yet unique titles and for obvious reasons fails to mention his upcoming Deadpool installment. An intriguing aspect of Disney’s acquisition of Fox was the notion that Deadpool would be under the Marvel Studios banner. Due to the merger, the future of Deadpool appeared uncertain after two successful pictures with Fox. Until Kevin Feige stated that the Merc with the Mouth will certainly be heading to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With regards to Deadpool 3 and its release date, only a few details are known about it. However, Reynolds is believed to be hard at work on the script. And it looks that this will be the first R-rated movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Recent comments from Kevin Feige confirmed that Marvel Studios has a release date in mind. Nonetheless, production won’t begin until 2022 at the earliest. One of the new 2024 spots may be allocated for Deadpool 3 based on these remarks.

In the meantime, Ryan Reynolds will be witnessed in an array of upcoming films. These include the action-thriller film Red Notice and sci-fi The Adam Project. In the latter movie, he will be seen playing the role of someone who travels back in time and reaches out to his younger self to confront their late father.
