If you’re a fan, then you’re definitely looking forward to the Scarlet Witch team-up. Doctor Strange 2 producer previews some surprising scenes between Scarlet Witch and Stephen Strange. Doctor Strange 2 is the next film in the MCU to be released in May. Sorcerer extraordinaire Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role in a Sam Raimi-directed film. The sequel will focus on a darker side of the multiverse that was initially explored in December’s NWH. There is a new threat, and Doctor Strange has to face an evil version of himself this time around.
With Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Xochitl Gomez, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, Doctor Strange 2 also features WandaVision’s, Elizabeth Olsen. When it comes to Wanda’s storyline, that miniseries laid the basis for Multiverse of Madness. In WandaVision, she truly embodied the Scarlet Witch, and in Doctor Strange 2, she’ll gain even more clout when she joins forces with Stephen once again.
Doctor Strange 2 producer Richie Palmer hinted at the partnership between Stephen and Wanda in the spring 2022 issue of D23 magazine. A long time has passed for these two prominent beings to meet, and it may not turn out the way fans expect. A classic Marvel feel will pervade but expect the unexpected. That’s what Palmer expressed:
“They are arguably two of the most – if not the most – powerful beings in the MCU. It was only a matter of time before we got them together, and we do it in a pretty fun, unique way.
“It’s a classic Marvel team-up, but they do some things together that you’d never expect to see them do.”
To put it another way, the prospect of seeing Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch’s magic styles collide in Multiverse Of Madness is one of the movie’s most exciting aspects, as pointed out by Palmer. Palmer’s cryptic hint that there are some unexpected aspects to their partnership piqued my interest. Is this Scarlet Witch team-up going to take a more sinister turn? Doctor Strange 2’s trailer featured a reference to Scarlet Witch’s reputation as a villain, which has fueled speculation that she will play a more antagonistic role in the sequel.
Starting out as allies, Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch becoming adversaries would be an intriguing turn in the story. Maybe that’s the kind of twist Palmer was alluding to, or maybe it’s something else entirely. The recent trailer for Doctor Strange 2, which surprised everyone by including Patrick Stewart’s voice, shows that the sequel already promises to deliver plenty of surprises for fans. Aside from the possible cameos, it appears that Scarlet Witch has some surprises up her sleeve for Doctor Strange 2.
