On Disney+, Secret Invasion is one of the upcoming Marvel films. Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Ben Mendelson’s Talos will reprise their roles in the series. Furthermore, Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill and Emilia Clarke’s unnamed character, as well as several other veterans and newcomers will be a part of this venture. Marvel Comics’ Secret Invasion storyline inspired Secret Invasion, which explores the Skrulls’ invasion of Earth.
However, despite being based on a well-known comic storyline, the show’s plot details remain a mystery. Even so, the post-credits scene from Spider-Man: Far From Home revealed that Talos and Soren were posing as Nick Fury and Maria Hill on Earth. Meanwhile, the real SHIELD agents were in space with an army of Skrulls.
Based on that, it’s safe to assume that Secret Invasion will focus on the future of Fury and the Skrulls after Avengers: Endgame. The release date of Secret Invasion on Disney+ is still up in the air. Nonetheless, new set photos have surfaced that are sure to stoke speculation about the role of Fury in the series.
Alan Milner discovered new set photos from the filming of Secret Invasion in Leeds, which feature a new look at Samuel L. Jackson’s character, Nick Fury, in the role. The images show a new look for Nick Fury, with the superhero sporting a beard. Besides, the absence of his well-known eye patch in the photograph has been confirmed.

After a look at the pictures, it is not clear whether Ben Mendelsohn is filming scenes with Jackson or just taking some time off:
Secret Invasion set photos to reveal that Nick Fury will undergo a transformation when he returns to Earth. Phase 4 will begin with Fury in this new look. However, it’s unclear whether that’s just a disguise or if he’ll wear it the entire time.
Additionally, this new design is under the teaser that was shown at Disney+ Day in 2021. Marvel Studios revealed Fury’s new look without the eye patch at the event. Fury’s bearded appearance suggests that he has been a member of the MCU for a long time. In this new series, the character’s veteran leadership will be put to the test for the first time in the superhero franchise’s long history.
Fury’s confirmed role as the main character in Secret Invasion puts the spotlight on him. Additionally, the storyline appears to be set up to reveal more about the former SHIELD director’s past. If Secret Invasion’s infiltration storyline is going to get off the ground with Fury’s return, it’s not clear why. Talos may have alerted Fury to the rogue Skulls, resulting in an investigation. On the other hand, it could be related to the Kree sleeper cells that were hinted at in Far From Home.
Fury’s detective skills will be put to the test once he discovers that some of his allies and even enemies are Skrull imposters, whatever the case may be. A 2022 release date for Secret Invasion has been pushed back to 2023, according to a new report.
