Zachary Levi reflects on what Marvel and DC have accomplished with their most popular comic book characters. Levi also added his own opinions on how the two movie franchises compare to each other.
Levi is caught up in some significant DC Universe changes that are now being made under the direction of James Gunn and Peter Safran. As the Snyder-verse was a significant component of the most modern incarnation of the DCEU, many fans continue to campaign for its revival.

Levi has a unique viewpoint on how the MCU and DCU have battled it out over the years because he also has a past with the Marvel universe after taking on the character of Fandral in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World.

It’s Not An Easy Position

Shazam! actor Zachary Levi defended James Gunn and Peter Safran on his own Instagram page on Thursday night.
Levi spoke out in support of Gunn and Safran during an Instagram live session, as the duo is reported to be rebooting the DC Universe after shelving ideas involving Henry Cavill’s Superman and Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, among many other Snyder-Verse characters.

“You have no understanding why any of the decisions are being made as they are.” Levi stated on his Instagram live that the amount of speculation, rumors, drama, and garbage that is spreading on Twitter and Instagram is absurd. “I would just advise being patient and allowing them some room and time to truly attempt and build something exceptional. I believe that’s something Zack Snyder attempted to do but ultimately failed to do, and something that DC deserves to have. Those guys aren’t only making choices based on who they like or dislike.

They’re attempting to satisfy as many fans and viewers as they can while making judgements that are best for Warner Brothers, DC, the studio, and the entire company.

The actor from Shazam! continued, “It’s not an easy position.” All of these things, which were already quite tense, were given to them. So, guys, please give them a break. Relax!   For the love of God, it’s the holidays. Go ahead and take advantage of the holidays as they are; give them some time to do so, and then let’s see what happens after this.

Marvel Was Very Successful Tapping Into The Larger Audience

Zachary Levi spoke about the rivalry between Zack Snyder’s DC Extended Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe during an Instagram Live.

He stated: “And up to this point, quite a few DC films have been released that may have made some people extremely happy, but they haven’t appealed to a wider audience.” Marvel succeeded brilliantly in doing that, bringing as many people to the table as possible, as many people who can be satisfied, made happy, and all that.”

Zachary Levi’s Future In DC

After discussing his plans for the DC Universe, Zachary Levi concluded by discussing what would happen when the Shazam! sequel is released. The actor stated clearly that he would be accepting if Peter Safran and James Gunn decided to recast him or take the DC Universe in a different direction without Shazam.

“Listen, I have no idea what will happen to me in the end.” “I believe I’m in a fantastic position; I believe our film is fantastic, and I believe it will perform well – or so I hope,” he says. However, regardless of that, if they ultimately determine that this is the course we must take, “those are the breaks; that’s how it works.”
