Marvel’s She-Hulk will join the MCU in 2022. By doing so, She-Hulk will be continuing the trend of new female characters joining the MCU in 2021. Besides Tatiana Maslany, She-Hulk also features Mark Ruffalo as Dr. Banner, Tim Roth as Abomination, and Jameela Jamil as Titania.

Breaking the fourth wall and addressing Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is among the rumored plot points of the upcoming half-hour legal comedy series on Disney+. While Maslany will perform in mo-cap and lend her comedic talent to the show, she will also be a producer. To maintain the great MCU’s long history of making pop culture references while also showcasing her other talents is now confirmed.

As expressed on the “Scott Hasn’t Seen” podcast, Tatiana Maslany confirms that she will sing “It Aint’s Easy Being Green” and the Madonna version of “Fever.” Shaun Diston, the co-host of the podcast, inquired whether there were any “songs in She-Hulk”? She responded with a suspenseful “Uhm, oh! Well…”

Maslany responded, “I do, I do ‘Fever’.” Is it the Madonna version of the song? When asked if it is, Maslany said yes, “Yeah. I [also] do ‘It Ain’t Easy Being Green'”. When it came to the song-focused portion of this podcast, the hosts and Maslany seemed sincere and honest in their answers and questions. ‘Tatiana Maslany Will Sing Madonna’ doesn’t sound like a bad idea now.

She-Hulk is the latest Marvel series to be released on Disney+. And it looks like it’s going to be a standout from the rest. WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Marvel’s Multiversal have dealt with more serious themes, so a courtroom comedy series with fourth-wall-breaking antics should be a welcome change of pace and tone. If…

Despite this, She-Hulk’s slapstick humor and evident pop culture references are nothing new to the MCU. Both Iron Man and Spider-Man regularly referenced “old” movies during a fight, starting with 2008’s Iron Man. Superman was recently mentioned in Eternals, while Clint Baron even mentioned Katniss Everdeen in Hawkeye on Disney+.

The MCU can include DC heroes, Star Wars, and Katniss, so why not Madonna? It’s not yet clear whether Maslany is singing Kermit the Frog or Ray Charles’ version of “It Ain’t Easy Being Green.” She-Hulk sounds like a fun palate cleanser for MCU fans for those who haven’t seen it yet. All this while they await Phase 4 of the multiverse.
