It’s undoubtedly true that Marvel and Sony’s Spiderman: No Way Home is the most anticipated and hyped-up movie of the year. Fans are talking and theorizing over every little detail before the movie comes out.

After all, this movie is said to put Peter through the wringer after his identity crisis resulting from the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Now that would have been intriguing enough to make fans flock to the theaters again. But Marvel decided that wasn’t enough. And so they added Doctor Strange and the Multiverse. Of course, there’s way more than that which fans already suspect.

After it was confirmed that Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx would be joining the film, the floodgates of anticipation burst open even more. And as new leaks and information come out, the hype grows higher. Some of the leaked news have teased small details like the new costumes for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men, as well as the origin of MCU Peter’s new black suit.

The most recent of these leaks even revealed the looks of the two web slingers appearing alongside Tom Holland. And as expected, fans had pretty vocal responses to these.

Following the recently leaked photos of Charlie Cox, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans took to Twitter to share their reactions and opinions on the whole thing.

@mgonmovies said that the furniture in the pic with Charlie Cox did match up entirely with the apartment we saw in the trailer. And so the pic might be real.

@TrilogyFilm said:

“If Charlie Cox is actually in Spider-Man: No Way Home, then it’s automatically a masterpiece. Imagine how good the interactions between him and Tom Holland will be.”

@joshijitweets posted a GIF of a blooper of Tobey Maguire from 2007’s Spiderman 3. It was a reaction to the unexpected leak.

@KnnyBlnknshp talked about seeing the first 2002 Spiderman movie in theaters. He said he might lose it if he considers Tobey Maguire again in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here’s what he said in full:

“Dawg, I’m losing it when I see my boy Tobey Maguire in the new Spiderman. I remember my mom taking me to see the 2002 spiderman in theaters, and I was about nine.”

@Noah_Banes is quite convinced that Sony is deliberately faking these leaks to build more hype for the film. He says:

“If one more Spiderman leak drops online, I’m convinced it’s just Sony faking leaks to garner interest. I don’t normally believe these kinds of conspiracies, but it feels like all of the film’s big surprises are all out in the open now.”

@ImposterDittoM said that such leaks wouldn’t have happened if the second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home had been released already: “Sony these Spider-Man: No Way Home leaks wouldn’t happen if you gave us a damn trailer.”

@BurhanPlays didn’t like that a Twitter mutual retweeted the leak: “A mutual retweeted Spiderman No Way Home leaks. Not cool, dude. Muted.”

@WrittenByTerry also said that the leak was terrible: “Damn, that Spider-Man leak is unforgivable.”

@SCWKorsgaard joked about Kevin Feige asking The John Campea Show’s John Campea to leak the photos after the low critics’ scores and overall controversy of The Eternals.” (Kevin Feige takes one look at the box office for Eternals, low audience scores, and talk that Marvel’s run out of gas)

Kevin Feige: Tell John Campea to leak the photos of Spider-Man.”

Keeping in mind all the news already coming out about Spider-Man: No Way Home’s plot and characters, there has been no film with as many leaks like this one. With each new leak about the costume or the character, fans have expressed excitement about the movie. But they have also expressed their disdain about how Marvel and Sony are handling security regarding their film’s plot.

Fans are right now waiting for the second trailer. The next few weeks will be vital regarding the movie and how the two studios promote their most anticipated project of the year. As for now, many fans are wondering if these leaks will influence what gets shown in the following trailer. After all, it was recently rumored that Marvel and Sony have locked horns over whether they should show Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the next trailer or not.

Marvel wants to keep it a secret, whereas Sony intends to reveal it. However, overall, whether the two previous Spidermen or even Charlie Cox’s Daredevil are officially even in the movie or not is still a mystery. After all, these leaks might be numerous, but they are still unofficial. Right now, no matter what happens, fans will surely be keeping a close watch as promotion ramps up in the coming weeks.
