Tom Holland has teased that the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer is just the beginning of what’s to come. He said that viewers haven’t seen anything yet. The actor has teased more plot twists in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie that’s the third in the Spider-Man franchise.

The movie will see Holland reprise his role as the web-slinger along with Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Zendaya as MJ, Jon Favreau as Happy, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx as Electro, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The movie is written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers and directed by Jon Watts.

So what can fans expect from the movie? Let us discuss.

Tom Holland Teases More Secrets In Spider-Man: No Way Home

Spider-Man: No Way Home will begin just after the events of the previous movie, Far From Home. Fans will remember that the movie ended with Mysterio exposing Peter Parker’s identity as Spider-Man.

In this situation, Peter goes to Doctor Strange for help. The sorcerer supreme users a spell to get rid of everyone’s memories of Peter being Spider-Man. However, things don’t go well since Peter keeps interfering with the spell.

The result? The multiverse arises.

In the trailer, we get hints of Green Goblin and Electro. But the money shot goes to Doctor Octopus. The official synopsis of the movie says that in this movie, Peter will really learn what it means to be Spider-Man. From the trailer, it looks like fans will have a blast.

After the trailer was released, Holland came on Instagram (via Fandom) and shared his excitement for the movie as well as his love for the fans who were waiting for it. Along with this, Holland also said that this trailer is just the tip of the iceberg. So there’s a lot more in the movie that will blow people’s minds off.

Here’s the video:

Spider-Man: No Way Home Will Open The Multiverse

The 3 major live-action Spidermen

This update by Tom Holland sent fans into a tizzy. Theories about the plot and characters of the movie have been running rampant all over the internet ever since it was confirmed that the movie would have Doctor Strange and that it would tie in with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Many people believed that Sony wanted to capitalize on the success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse by introducing the multiverse. And by also bringing the 3 live-action Spideys together in the MCU.

The trailer didn’t show any of the other Spider-Men. But it did confirm plenty of theories, including those regarding Molina’s Doc Ock’s as well as Jamie Foxx’s Electro’s return.

Along with this, the trailer surprised fans by hinting at the return of Dafoe’s Green Goblin. Thus, solidifying the theory that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield might be returning.

Doctor Octopus

Holland has teased that there’s more to come. So now the secrecy around Spider-Man makes sense. Holland’s contract is technically set to expire after this movie, and if he doesn’t renew the contract, then this multiversal movie would be the perfect way of going out.

However, those negotiations aren’t on the table yet. For now, fans should ride the hype of Spider-Man: No Way Home and watch it in theaters on December 17.
