Star Wars: Hayden Christensen Leak Solves Kenobi Mystery

Hayden Christensen is going to be very busy nowadays. In 2020, Disney revealed that he would reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Thankfully, that isn’t the only show he is going to be playing Anakin/Vader in. He is also going to portray his iconic role in the upcoming Disney+ show Ahsoka as well.

However, this role is more complicated than the one in Obi-Wan Kenobi. This is because, in the Kenobi show, Vader was still alive. But in Ahsoka, Vader has been dead for about five years at the very least.

What Are The Ways He Can Show Up In The Ahsoka Show?

Ahsoka and Anakin

So this means that there are two ways Christensen’s Anakin/Vader could come back in Ahsoka. One is that he could come back as a Force Ghost. This would mean that we get to see Anakin of the light side from the prequels and the end of Return of the Jedi.

Along with this, it’s almost a certainty now that we will be seeing Hayden as Anakin/Vader in flashbacks during the years between the prequels and the original trilogy. However, with this, many have put forward a third option- the World Between Worlds. Ahsoka might use this to communicate with Anakin.

Realistic Ways Anakin Might Appear In Ahsoka And Obi-Wan Kenobi?

Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, And Ahsoka

Many think it’s likely that Hayden will play Force Ghost Anakin in Ahsoka. As for the flashbacks, those will be there. After all, they have to explain Anakin and Ahsoka’s relationship to anyone who didn’t watch The Clone Wars and Rebels.

However, these shows tend to be relatively light on flashbacks. Also, it doesn’t quite make sense to cast Hayden Christensen and not put him in a Darth Vader suit.

So if this does turn out to be the case, then Lucasfilm might be doing the same in the Kenobi show. As such, we might get to see the same version of Anakin in the front too.

Ahsoka, Anakin, And Obi-Wan Kenobi

Previous leaks have suggested that we might get introduced to a more gruesome depiction of the character when he is in the middle of his transformation. Now that will be amazing! Then again, the show might be able to find a way to show both Anakin and Vader at once. They could also reveal that Kenobi had found a way to communicate with Ahsoka while hiding on Tatooine.

It’s possible that the two of them kept communicating with each other even when Vader carried out the evil orders of the Emperor. I mean, this certainly falls within the acceptable list of weird things we have seen in the Star Wars galaxy. Will it happen? Who knows. But we would love to see it happen on screen. Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere in 2022 on Disney+, and Ahsoka will come to the streaming service in 2023.
