Star Wars Theory! How Kylo Ren’s Ben Solo Will Appear In The Book Of Boba Fett

The Book of Boba Fett has finished airing about half of its episodes, but the plot seems to be progressing at a sort of head-scratching pace. Now, “Chapter-3- The Streets of Mos Espa” did push the current-day story forward.

But the show’s insistence on heavy flashbacks has been frustrating for many. What was once a novelty has become irritating to some. However, these flashbacks haven’t been put into just pad the runtime.

These scenes mean that the show is definitely building towards something. The flashbacks combined with the present-day timeline seem like two pieces of a puzzle, and there will surely come a point where they will both intersect.

Some fans want Crimson Dawn and Qi’ra to show up as the big bad antagonists of the show. But right now, the Pyke Syndicate is presented as the threat that the ex-bounty hunter will have to fight against.

But it doesn’t look like they will gain a lot from conquering the desert planet and Fett’s criminal empire as Qi’ra will. Also, Crimson Dawn’s theme music is a part of The Book of Boba Fett’s main theme. So overall, it does feel like something is cooking.

Also, lead actor Temuera Morrison has said that the show will have a lot of surprises. Even Emilia Clarke, who played Qi’ra in the Solo movie, has expressed a desire to return to the franchise.

We know by now Lady Qi’ra and Lord Fett do have a history together. Shortly after Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Qi’ra stole Han Solo from Boba Fett and auctioned her ex-sweetheart off to the Empire during an auction.

She did it all just to bring Crimson Dawn back to galactic prominence. Fett successfully got his property back and then vowed to remove the woman who put him through so much trouble. But that was only the beginning of Boba’s problems.

It was ultimately Han Solo who put Boba in the Sarlacc Pit and left him dead on the desert planet Tatooine. Since we are almost through The Book of Boba Fett, soon, we will get to know the true culprit who is against Boba Fett’s rule.

As for the war with Pykes, it seems inevitable. Also, Boba might initially win. But with some episodes left in the show, his actual enemy may be revealed.

Qi’ra right now is the most likely adversary of Boba Fett. But it’s possible that she will play more roles than just the typical villain on the show. The one thing that ties Boba Fett and Qi’ra together is Han Solo.

The smuggler was just a job that Boba had to do, but Han was once Qi’ra’s lover. Inevitably, Solo was a problem for them both, but the entire situation was largely due to Qi’ra’s theft.

Han might not have planned on whacking Fett’s jetpack and putting him in the Sarlacc Pit, but the one consistent thing that the franchise has shown is that the bounty hunter never forgets.

Several fan theories leading up to the release of The Book of Boba Fett detailed that the ex-bounty hunter would be motivated by a desire to get revenge. Now, the groundwork for his revenge against the Pykes has been carefully laid out.

After all, the Pykes played a role in the demise of the Tusken village. And Qi’ra showing up will be just the thing that allows him to finish off an enemy syndicate while also getting personal vengeance.

Now, if the nerf-herder who helped topple the Empire showed up, then Boba would likely take his life. But if a little someone was with Han, then the dynamic of that meeting and altercation would change entirely.

Will We See A Han Solo Cameo In The Boba Fett Show?

Many fans are theorizing that Harrison Ford will show up as Han Solo in The Book of Boba Fett. After all, if Mark Hamill showed up in season 2 of The Mandalorian, then why not Ford?

If he indeed does show up, then the logical assumption is that de-aging technology will be used to present Harrison Ford similar to how Han would look five years after the events of Return of the Jedi.

This is similar to how Lucasfilm did it when Mark Hamill showed up as Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian. Currently, Ford is working on another Lucasfilm project; Indiana Jones 5. That movie is using de-aging tech for the aging star as well.

So a short cameo in The Book of Boba Fett isn’t impossible. The creators of the series have already teased major surprises, and since Ford has a great relationship with executive producers Kathleen Kennedy and Jon Favreau, a cameo could happen.

Also, let us not forget that Lucasfilm did hire a deepfake artist who improved their original Luke Skywalker de-aging scene. So considering all these pieces, Han Solo’s return might be possible.

Fan discourse is common in every fandom, but it’s way more intense in the Star Wars fan base. Frequent discourse often involves impassioned debate on the recently concluded Sequel Trilogy, and the desire to see none of the elements from there, or maybe see some of it.

Recently, there was a clickbait YouTube video, that was looking to stroke the flames between the Sequel defenders and haters. But what’s interesting is that it was met with quite an interesting response from ViewerAnon.

Perpetual internet users and pop-culture fandom dwellers will surely be familiar with ViewerAnon, a credible scooper account. That account teased that anyone thinking that the Sequel Trilogy will be erased from the canon will be proven wrong by the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett.

We know by now that The Book of Boba Fett as well as the other MandoVerse shows take place 25 years before The Force Awakens. So there are only a few things and options that this tease could be referring to.

Finn and Rey haven’t been born yet, and as per the timeline, Poe Dameron is just a young kid without any connection to the narrative. The Mandalorian’s story suggests that the First Order has not been formed yet.

However, Snoke clones were featured in Season 2. So considering all of these, the candidate likely to appear from the Sequel Trilogy is Ben Solo. During this time, Ben Solo would be four years old.

So he would be old enough to join his father on some adventures. Also, he is not too old to start testing his Force powers and skills in a battle. If the rumor is true that Han Solo might show up in The Book of Boba Fett, then his son might tag along as well.

And if this happened, it would mean that all the three members of the Solo family would have come into contact with Boba Fett.

The flashbacks in The Book of Boba Fett have been setting up something. It’s clear that they are devoting this much time to setting up the framework for something that will happen on the current timeline.

Some things are obvious, like Boba ruling will respect and want revenge on those who wronged him. But that’s not all. There have been small but important moments all about Fett’s past, and it’s clear that they will influence the future.

In “Chapter 1 – Stranger in a Strange Land,” we saw a couple of re-worked shots from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. These shots show the aftermath of the Battle of Geonosis. There, a young Boba Fett mourned the loss of Jango, his father.

After that, we saw Boba watch his father leave Kamino from his bedroom. These things drive home the idea that the character we are following has been lonely and left alone from a very young age.

We haven’t got any payoff for these moments till now. But we might get them once the season progresses more. And Han and Ben Solo can enter here.

There’s no way of knowing how and why the Solos might get dragged into the story of The Book of Boba Fett. And that isn’t important for the character arcs that have been set up until now. A plot by Crimson Dawn and Qi’ra might bring her old sweetheart to the desert planet.

It might have been intentional or otherwise. But one thing is certain, irrespective of how it happens; Boba will be there to face the man who left him for dead. When the Millennium Falcon touches down on Tatooine to investigate the occurring at Jabba’s palace on Leia’s behalf, then Lord Fett will get to investigate the man .

At one point, we will surely get a showdown between them. And on the dust-ridden planet, a western-style face-off would be perfect after some exchange of words. Fennec Shand can even take her sniper position on a far-off ridge. This would be the perfect scene.

In this highly tense moment, we might get to see a little boy descend from the hunk of junk we have come to love over all these years. Han will probably shout at Ben to go back to Falcon. But the kid’s connection to the Force will surely alert him to the kind of danger his dad is in.

Even though Han would be worried for his child’s safety, it is this encounter with Ben that might bring out the good in Boba’s heart. After all, at the core of the character, Boba Fett is a child who didn’t get to be with his father enough.

Even though he was older than Ben Solo in this situation when his father died, it’s clear that the loss of his father had a sharp grip on Boba even in his middle-aged years.

The very sight of Ben, scared for the safety of Han, would tie the flashbacks from his childhood to the present day. Then, Boba would surely decide to abandon the fight because he doesn’t want to see another child grow up without his father.

So instead of a fight, this encounter will ensure that Han and Boba both makeup and go on their separate ways. Surely this counter will result in Boba and Han having found a newfound respect for each other.

This is obviously pure speculation right now, but it’s certainly an interesting possibility that will result in remarkable character development. Even though Ben Solo is the one who took his father’s life in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, here a young Solo will be the one who will end up saving Han’s life in The Book of Boba Fett.

So it will create a great parallel that will add more weight to the moment on the Starkiller Base. Thus, making the father-son relationship even more interesting.

So if Harrison Ford does agree to return to the role, then this iconic moment will be created. And no matter the issues that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has, many agree that the moment between Ben and Han was the best. Also, it was critical to Ben’s character arc later.

In The Book of Boba Fett, both Ben and Boba will grow from the showdown with Han caught in the middle of it. Such a sequence would be a great ending to Boba Fett’s story, at least in the first season.

But will Ben Solo show up? You can find out when new episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are dropped every Wednesday on Disney+.
