Stranger Things, Netflix’s popular sci-fi horror show, became a global hit in its fourth season. It’s now being said that fans are in for a fun ride, as the creators are apparently developing an anime spin-off based on the well-known series for Netflix. The Stranger Things Cinematic Universe is still growing with this fresh rumor.

The Duffer Brothers the creators of the show, have revealed that they are developing a “100% unique” Stranger Things spin-off.

Stranger Things is one of Netflix’s most popular series. The show hasn’t ended yet, and fans are looking forward to the series finale, which will ultimately reveal the finale of the plot.
Stranger Things Tokyo, an anime series, has been in production for quite some time, according to reports. The plot revolves around two video game-obsessed twin brothers who live in the suburbs of 1980s Tokyo and become engaged in a journey involving the Upside Down.

An unannounced live-action spinoff series that was formally revealed in July 2022 would join Stranger Things: Tokyo (anime)  in extending the Stranger Things Cinematic Universe. A stage production based on Stranger Things’ world and mythology is also in the pipeline and will be produced by prominent theatre producer Sonia Friedman, Stephen Daldry, and Netflix. Daldry will also direct the play, which will be written by Kate Trefry. At this moment, it is unknown what the stage play will be about, where it will be staged, and when it will be available to the public.

Netflix has yet to announce anything. However, the Duffer Brothers have earlier mentioned the possibility of spin-offs, so an anime spin-off based on the series doesn’t seem out of the question.

But, before fans too excited, keep in mind that this is just a rumor. Stranger Things is approaching its end, so it’s not out of the possibility that Netflix would be interested in finding new ways to extend the property.
