With Kevin Feige talking about how the future of the multiverse saga rests heavily on Jonathan Majors, we now have further clues about Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. This includes the latest updates, possible cameos, and more!
One of the most heavily anticipated movies of 2023, Quantumania sees Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne explore more of the Quantum Realm post the events of Endgame. And, as has been already established, they will be facing off against Kang the Conqueror. Jonathan Majors will reprise his role, having delivered a powerfully promising appearance as the variant He Who Remains in Season 1 of Loki.
Revelations at Comic-Con
While much of the details are still under wraps, we have unearthed a few things from recent interviews. This was during the recently concluded presentations at the San Diego Comic-Con. Talking about cameos, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania director Peyton Reeds hinted there would be “surprising faces” in the upcoming movie.
Paul Rudd, playing the role of Scott Lang, also commented on the novelty and freshness of each movie. In a recent interview, he mentions how he “never gets used to it.” He particularly enjoyed meeting “some new people this time around, see some old friends…” Now, who could this refer to?
Additionally, Kevin Feige has previously confirmed that MODOK plays an instrumental role in the plotline. So, Rudd’s “old friend” could very well be Corey Stoll, marking his next appearance in the MCU. Incidentally, he was last seen in the role of Yellowjacket in the first Ant-Man movie.
While the plot line of the upcoming movie is still a secret, there is certainly a lot in store. Gear up, as the next phase of the MCU revolves heavily around the concept of the Quantum Realm.
Cameos in the MCU are not a new thing. So, it will be exciting to see what the third installment of the Ant-Man trilogy has in store for its viewers. As per schedule, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will hit theatres on Feb 17th, 2023.
