Immediately following the conclusion of the movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever only had one more scene. Furthermore, it was not the type that we have previously enjoyed seeing in the closing scenes of MCU films. The only mid-credits scene in the film was not amusing and provided no foreshadowing for the next installment. The dramatic and unexpected last scene of Wakanda Forever made sure that an essential legacy will continue to be carried on in the franchise.

T’Challa’s Legacy Continues

After Shuri burns the ceremonial clothing she wore to T’Challa’s burial, Nakia surprises her with the arrival of her son in what is unquestionably one of the most touching MCU mid-credits scenes to date.

It turns out that she gave birth to King T’Challa’s son shortly after the blip. Before Thanos’ tremendous snap, the two also had time to consider that it would be better for their son to grow up outside of Wakanda, free from the demands of the kingdom.

He shares his father’s name, which makes the situation even more powerful. T’Challa’s legacy continues, and one day he might take the mantle of Black Panther.

Azari, a new Young Avenger who appears in comic books, is the son of T’Challa and Storm. He possesses both his mother’s electrokinesis and his father’s heart-shaped herb skills.
Marvel Studios presumably isn’t explicitly adopting Azari very much, if at all, given how unconventional the character is.

Since his ability to control lightning, like his mother does, depends on Storm being in the MCU. This is obviously not the path they were able to follow with the MCU. But given that he’s a youthful legacy character, he could probably join the Young Avengers of the MCU.

There is also this theory that he might be positioned to essentially take on the role of T’Challa in the MCU by the time he’s an adult. He might benefit from another significant time jump that Marvel Studios is planning, much like Cassie Lang did in The Snap.
This way, when the MCU finally decides to introduce the X-Men, he can grow alongside a young Storm. T’Challa and Storm could finally be a couple, just like in the comics.
