Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is all set to storm into theaters this week. And the talk of the town is its new villain, Namor. Fans have wanted to see Namor in the MCU for a long time and finally, the ancient underwater king has arrived. But exactly how ancient is he? Actor Tenoch Huerta finally answers the question.

Tenoch Huerta Confirms Namor’s Age

From the trailers, clips, and interviews released till now, it’s quite clear that Namor has been the Talokan King for a long time. The rumours about him being pissed at Wakanda for opening themselves up to the world also hints at him having existed in a time when colonialism was common.

So he might have lived through a time when his people and Kingdom might have been colonized or there might have been attempts to colonize them. As such, fans expected him to be a few hundred years old.

But in an interview at Black Panther 2’s promotional tour in Nigeria, Tenoch Huerta, who plays Namor in Black Panther Wakanda Forever, confirmed that the underwater king is much older. In fact, according to him, he’s 500 years old.

Who Is Older Than Him In The Avengers? 

At 500 years old, the Talokan King is head and shoulders above the age of any other Avenger, except Thor, who is 1500 years old in the MCU. As such, Namor is older than Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Black Widow! In fact, he is older than their ages combined as well.

So it will be interesting to see if age has wizened him or made him worse. Looking at the clips and trailers, he does look like he has anger issues and it was previously revealed that his name, Namor, means ‘a boy without love‘. So he’s bound to have some issues that will hopefully that explored in the movie and the MCU moving forward.
