“The Last of Us” Episode 6 continues Joel and Ellie’s search for Tommy three months after last week’s suspenseful ending. Tommy had gone off on his own after leaving Joel with the Fireflies, which was strange for the brothers. He had not spoken to Joel in many weeks. The two now meet again while Joel ponders what to do about Ellie. The sixth episode of “The Last of Us” closes with a terrifying potential, as a group of raiders attacks our heroes.

Episode 6 was not only about the end of this adventure, but it also caused Joel to re-evaluate his relationship with Ellie and decide if he can see her through to the end.

Joel’s Vulnerability

While Joel has spent the most of the series as a cruel and ruthless Infected-killing monster. Episode 6, “Kin,” takes the time to look into the man’s vulnerabilities and anxieties. The fact that Joel may potentially die at the end of Episode 6 is appropriate since Joel has never been more at risk. Joel consciously chose to face his concerns before getting hurt, which intensified the emotional impact of the situation.

It’s unlikely that HBO will kill off Joel in Episode 6. As they are sticking to the primary plot points of the first The Last of Us game. But his near-death experience gives him the chance to realize Ellie is not a weak person who requires constant protection. He should have more faith in her to handle problems because she is a survivor like him.

At the very end of The Last of Us episode 6. Joel and Ellie were ambushed by a group of men at the University of Eastern Colorado. Although the men’s names and backgrounds are kept hidden in the episode, information from the first The Last of Us game provides some insight on the men’s future roles. The men truly originate from a pack of cannibals that David leads.

Ellie meets David and his second-in-command, James, while out scavenging for food for her and Joel in the original game. Before capturing Ellie, David claims that a man and a little girl ambushed and killed his troops at the University of Eastern Colorado.. David discloses his group’s cannibal tendencies and invites Ellie to join them, eventually attempting to murder her when she resists. Joel attempts to save Ellie, only to find David dead before Ellie collapses in his arms. Joel recognizes Ellie as his daughter for the first time.

Joel keeps trying to pass Ellie over to Tommy in the game since his sibling is young and better than him. The game, however, did not explore Joel’s sudden vulnerability in the same way that the series does. At least twice, anxiety has rendered Joel immobile. Now, after a heated dispute with Tommy, Joel is struggling to regain his breath while clutching his heart.

Joel appears to be experiencing panic attacks as a result of his PTSD following the death of his daughter, Sarah. In addition, he’s getting up there in age. He is 56 years old. You can’t always dash, crouch, and fight people.

With Joel succumbing to his knife wound at the climax of The Last of Us episode 6, the primary question for non-gamers will be, “Is Joel dead?” Joel, on the other hand, doesn’t really die at the end of The Last of Us episode 6. Joel survives his injuries but passes from blood loss, leaving Ellie to fight for herself in The Last of Us episode 7. The following episode will most likely adopt the cannibal plot line, in which Ellie meets David while looking for medicine to heal Joel’s injuries.

But that doesn’t indicate Joel is invincible. The central issue in The Last of Us Part II is Joel’s death at the hands of a firefly named Abby. Hence, while TV Joel will most likely survive Season 1, Pedro Pascal should double-check his agreement for Season 2.

With Joel’s condition progressively worsening, the first and main concern would be to explore how Ellie can assist him. The young girl is likewise keen not to disappoint her pal, which means she will have to navigate the cold winter terrain on her own. This, fortunately, comes after Ellie has undergone at least basic firearms instruction, and this training will undoubtedly come in handy. Although set in a post-apocalyptic environment, “The Last of Us” has always had the protagonists meet a variety of individuals, be they allies or opponents.

More of these people are likely to arrive in the upcoming episodes, and whether they support Joel and Ellie or work to oppose them will be interesting to watch.
