This year’s D23 Expo has given a whole bunch of Marvel content. With surprising cameos in its future movies to mind-blowing trailers for upcoming movies and TV shows.

We got a look at the cast of Captain America New World Order. With Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America, we have Carl Lumbly returning Isaiah Bradley, and Danny Ramirez returning as the new Falcon.

The biggest surprise of them all is the return of Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns aka The Leader. Yes, you read it right, we’re officially getting The Leader in the MCU.

Who Is The Leader?

In the comics, Samuel Sterns is a Janitor who works at a chemical plant. After an accident in the lab, he is exposed to dangerous chemicals which in turn makes him go through Gamma radiation.

After waking up, he finds himself in a different form. His skin turned green and his brain was way bigger than before. But this accident gives him intelligence unlike anyone in the world.

He uses this intelligence to try and take over the world but is continuously interfered with by Hulk. The Leader in turn becomes the Archenemy of Hulk.

The MCU version of Samuel Sterns, who appeared in The Incredible Hulk, was already a scientist. He helps in extracting Bruce’s gamma radiations and also gives Abomination his power.

In the end, he meets with an accident and we could see his brain expanding. This was the last time he was seen in the MCU, that too over a decade ago. The fans speculated that Kevin Feige has forgotten about the character

How He’ll Link The MCU To The Incredible Hulk?

2008’s The Incredible Hulk, after the casting of Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, was considered to not be canon to the MCU. The return of General Ross said otherwise.

After the return of Emil Blonsky in She-Hulk Attorney At Law, fans speculated about

the return of The Leader in the series. There’s still a high chance that we’ll get our first look at The Leader in She-Hulk Attorney At Law.

His cameo in the She-Hulk series will make a lot of sense and will also link the three, making his way to Captain America New World Order.

With his return in Captain America 4, we might also get a future Hulk vs The Leader movie or TV show. With Hulk finally facing his Comic Archenemy in the MCU, we might also get the chance to meet Skaar, The Son Of Hulk.

Other than him we also have a new character coming to the MCU, Sabra, who has superhuman human powers and in the comics is a Mutant. This will also make way for the Mutants in the MCU.
