The Mandalorian Exclusive Poster Reveals Luke And Grogu’s Training

Disney has released an official new poster of The Mandalorian. In the poster, we can see Grogu and Luke Skywalker building a lightsaber together. This is especially exciting to see since in the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian we saw Grogu go with Luke Skywalker to complete his Jedi training.

This made the father-son duo of Din Djarin and Grogu part ways. As such, fans are excited to see what season 3 holds for the characters. Also, anticipation is high since season 2 had a lot of Easter eggs and cameos for fans, and viewers can’t wait to see what season 3 will bring.

Right now, it’s being reported that season 3 is targeting a spring 2022 release date and has begun shooting already to meet that.

New Poster Reveals Luke And Grogu Making A Lightsaber

In the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, we saw Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin handing off his companion and sort-of-son Grogu to Luke Skywalker so that he could receive the training he needs.

Fans were ecstatic to see a young Luke Skywalker carrying out an impressive action sequence again. Also, it was exciting to know that Luke Skywalker will be training Grogu. It certainly held never-before-known implications for the Star Wars lore.

Right now, we don’t know how Grogu will show up in season 3 or if he will even be in the next season. But the new poster has given us an indication about what Baby Yoda might be doing with Master Skywalker during his training session in the meantime.

Recently Shop Trends unveiled a Comic-Con@Home exclusive wall poster by artist Russell Walks for The Mandalorian. In the poster, we see Grogu and Luke developing what looks to be a lightsaber.

Grogu is levitating a small pile of cylindrical mechanical parts, and Luke is dressed up in a light Jedi robe. He presents a kyber glowing crystal to the little green creature.

Special Disney+ Episode Will Explore The Technology Used For The Luke Cameo

The season 2 finale of the show caused quite a ruckus in the Star Wars fandom. It was all due to the fact that Luke Skywalker was depicted in his prime. But know that the young Luke’s cameo was only possible because of Disney’s patented de-aging technology.

This technology has been used across several properties in franchises like the MCU, Tron, and of course Star Wars. As for the man without whom this wouldn’t have been possible at all, know that, previously, the correct extent of Mark Hamill’s participation or involvement with the show’s portrayal of Luke wasn’t known.

But recently, Mark Hamill talked about the secrecy behind the Luke cameo. Also, he talked about a special Disney+ Gallery episode that will be released.

Luke Skywalker’s cameo will be explored in Disney+ Gallery episode

That episode will give fans a behind-the-scenes special look at Hamill’s contribution as well as explore the technology used to make this surprise possible. After all, Hamill’s role was reportedly more than just being a consultant.

Right now, we don’t know if Grogu will be in season 3, but it’s certainly interesting to see this poster where he’s busy making a lightsaber. Also, it’s an official poster. So it won’t be wrong to assume that this is what he must be doing while receiving his training.

However, this isn’t enough to make fans worry less about Grogu’s fate. After all, in the Sequel trilogy, it was revealed that Luke’s academy was razed by Kylo Ren.

Right now, all one can do is hope is that The Mandalorian season 3 will give the answers that fans have been waiting for while telling us what Grogu has been up to during his training with Luke.
