Lucasfilm recently reminded everyone how much of a hit The Mandalorian is with the Disney Gallery episode showing the in-depth return of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker in the season 2 finale of the show.

But other than this, the company has been very silent on its upcoming live-action productions. However, we do expect to see more information as Disney+ Day draws near.

After all, The Book of Boba Fett is all set to release in December 2021, and if fans are lucky, the company might release the first promo material by October.

Right now, industry insiders don’t seem to think of The Book of Boba Fett as a proper spin-off. Instead, it’s thought of as The Mandalorian 2.5. So it’s basically a continuation of Din Djarin’s story.

But it’s hard to determine if this sentiment is true since no official description has been released as of yet. However, some guesses can be made based on the War of the Bounty Hunters and of course, the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian. Let us tell you about them.

Rumors have been swirling regarding the appearance of some well-known faces in Boba Fett. The first one is obviously Din Djarin. Apart from him, fans are speculating about the appearance of Greef Karga too. After all, it will be weird if he doesn’t show up on a show about bounty hunters.

However, The Book of Boba Fett certainly won’t be the first time that Fett and Karga cross paths. A new shot, originally filmed for The Mandalorian has surfaced. In it, the two characters can be seen together in what might have been a tease for future shows or appearances.

ILM released a video where Greef Karga and Boba Fett met in The Mandalorian season 2. The video has the following caption:
“The sequence appears to be a deleted scene from “Chapter 14 – The Tragedy”.

You can check out the video below:

It’s just not possible for Fett and Karga to have not met before at all. After all, Karga led the bounty hunter’s guild, and Fett was once upon a time a notorious hunter. So if the most feared captor of the galaxy was looking for work, then the most suitable option to choose would be the disgraced former magistrate.

This brings the story to The Book of Boba Fett. Ultimately, that scene was deleted from the episode. But there’s an implied long history between Karga and Fett that will surely be explored in the upcoming December series.

Is Boba Fett After Crimson Dawn?

If a theory is correct, then Qi’ra and Crimson Dawn could be the villains in The Book of Boba Fett. After all, the hunter wants to get revenge on Qi’ra because she stole his prized possession- Han Solo.

Now, Fett couldn’t accomplish his plans due to the events of Return of the Jedi. But now that Fett is back working again and is more powerful than ever before with new resources at his disposal, he has the opportunity to defeat his enemy and plant his flag in the galaxy’s underworld.

However, if he wants to go up against Crimson Dawn, then he will need the help of the best possible bounty hunters. Here’s where Karga can come in.

Now, the two aren’t friends, but they are well acquainted with each other. So, Karga could help Boba get accomplished hunters like Din Djarin on his team.

Of course, this is just speculation right now. Things should become clear when Lucasfilm drops a trailer for the show. But it’s hard to imagine that deleted scene to be for anything else other than a set-up for Fett’s series.

As for why it was deleted, it might have been for time or to preserve plotlines for the Boba Fett show. Regardless of the reason, we know that there’s a connection between Greef Karga and Boba Fett, and ideally, it should come into play this December.

How will this relationship be explored? For that check out The Book of Boba Fett’s debut on Disney+ in December 2021.
