The Mandalorian Rumor Teases Wookie Appearance In Season 3

We all know that the success of The Mandalorian was a breath of fresh air for Star Wars. In fact, it was so successful that there are now several spin-offs in development. So on the small screen, The Mandalorian has been able to successfully launch a shared universe that’s unlike anything seen in Star Wars before.

Till now, the two seasons of The Mandalorian have revolved around the adventures of Grogu and Din Djarin. But now it looks like, that the upcoming third season will be drastically different from what we saw before. After all, in the season 2 finale, we saw Grogu go with Luke Skywalker to train and Din was left alone to pursue his goal.

Nobody has any idea about the plot details or even the synopsis of season 3 of The Mandalorian. But there have been rumors that it will tie into the events of its spinoff show- The Book Of Boba Fett by Temeura Morrison. In fact, it’s being said that Din Djarin (portrayed by Pedro Pascal), along with Cobb Vanth and Migs Mayfeld might appear in that show.

The Book Of Boba Fett And The Mandalorian Crossover

Also, this shared universe of The Mandalorian ensures that characters who might appear in The Book of Boba Fett could be showing up in season 3 of The Mandalorian as well

Now, there are obviously a lot of speculations about the characters who might appear. But alongside this, a new rumor has shown up as well and this one will be huge for the Star Wars hit show.

A Wookie In The Mandalorian

A new report from Bespin Bulletin says that The Mandalorian season 3 will be seeing “a Wookie or [a group of] Wookies.” Wookies are actually a common sight in the galaxy far far away. So it’s absolutely possible that these humanoid aliens might show up in The Mandalorian. Also, it would fit the plot as well since the show could be giving Star wars fans an update on the Wookies after they won the Galactic War back in Return of the Jedi.

However, the outlet couldnt clarify if this Wookie will be someone familiar from the Star Wars mythology or not. After all, it could also be that this Wookie will be just a background alien who shows up for one scene. Honestly, we will only get to know more about it once season 3 premiers.

The Book Of Boba Fett Production Details Could Give Crucial Information About The Mandalorian

Bespin Bulletin also has an update on The Book of Boba Fett’s production. The mag says that it the show has wrapped outside filming since “the sets have since been taken down”. They especially mention that there are no sets anymore at the Los Angeles train yard location where it was previously shooting.

But Bespin Bulletin said that the show might still be shooting at The Volume. However, the outlet said that even if it was still shooting, then it must be nearing the end of production and the show might wrap soon. Also, note that these crossover rumors are making the rounds because this train-yard location was also where Pedro Pascal’s The Mandalorian shot its two seasons till now.

If The Book of Boba Fett has indeed wrapped then it gives a vital insight into The Mandalorian’s filming timeline. We know that there’s no release date or even release timeline for season 3 of the show. But if The Book of Boba Fett has wrapped, then season 3 of The Mandalorian might be starting filming soon. So it’s possible that Disney might just give a release date for the third season. This way we will be able to know just how much we need to wait.

Will Chewbacca Show Up In The Mandalorian?

The Mandalorian fans have a lingering question– it’s about Chewbacca and if he will show up. Now, if Chewbacca does show up then it would need to make sense for him to appear narratively. We wish that he gets integrated in the way Luke Skywalker showed up in the final episode of the show.

So with so many rumors flying around, our expectations for the 3rd season of The Mandalorian are sky-high. Now, the wait is only for a release date which only Disney can bestow upon the fandom. But hopefully, this release date will be sooner rather than later.
