The Mandalorian has proved to be a bonafide hit for Disney+ and Lucasfilm. It has created a beautiful medley of all the three Star Wars trilogies and has also expanded the Star Wars canon in various ways.

After 2 successful seasons and a third one right now in production- questions are right now being asked about what the season 3 plot will entail. As expected, there are multiple fan ideas floating around about what could happen. Now, out of the various fan ideas, one has emerged about exploring the planet Mandalore further on.

Mandalorian

After all, the show is titled The Mandalorian and so the history, culture, and people of Mandalore should be the crux of the series.

Why Is Season 3 The Right Time To Show The Planet Mandalore?

Viewers of the hit show know that Din Djarin isnt actually a Mandalorian by his birth. He actually got adopted by Mandalorians into their culture. So when he grew up, he dedicated his entire life to serving them.

But we saw in The Mandalorian season 2 that he was beginning to question and doubt some areas of his Mandalorian upbringing. So since he is in a new powerful position as he heads in season 3, right now is the perfect time to explore Mandalore more.

How Will Showing Mandalore Improve The Show?

Know that heading to the planet Mandalore could very well result in the hugely anticipated brawl between Bo-Katan Kryze and Din Djarin. We saw in season 2 that Din has no interest in being Mandalore’s leader or wielding the Darksaber. However, Bo-Katan refuses to accept the saber without a proper fight. As such, the confrontation between the two for the much-coveted darksaber is most definitely going to happen.

Now, this battle can obviously take place anywhere and also at any time. However, there’s a poetic significance in Mandalore’s new monarch getting decided on its land itself. So a Mandalore trip where the fight decides its new ruler will truly be stunning.

In fact, it could very well trigger flashbacks of what led to the downfall of the planet. Now, seeing the fight between the Jedi and the Mandalorians in live-action will truly be epic. Also, the show talked about the Great Purge where the Empire had started an attack on Mandalore. It was here that Moff Gideon was able to fight off Bo-Katan and get the darksaber.

So, if season 3 again involves the Darksaber and it changing hands, then this time they could show just how Bo-Katan was able to lose it before. As such, this will allow The Mandalorian to show Mandalore many times and that too in various conditions.

But even if they don’t go through this route, it’s almost a given at this point that The Mandalorian will involve a Mandalore visit at one point or the other. Right now we can’t wait to see what happens next and if we will indeed get to see Mandalore in the show.
