Just like in the House of the Dragon series, Lord Larys was only one of the many culprits in the book who was suspected of killing Lord Lyonel and Ser Harwin Strong. Now, when the series is aired we are aware of who actually conspired the murder them both. But here is what the book made us believe before the episode aired!

Possible Murder Culprits Of The Strong Family In Book Fire And Blood

The first suspect was definitely Lord Larys who had the most to gain from the death of his father and brother. He will be the only living male member of the Strong Family, who will hold the right to be the head of their house and inherit the seat. But, there are many more characters who have enough reasons to commit this crime.

Prince Daemon Targaryen was a suspect in the book for having Ser Harwin and Lyonel Strong killed in a fire accident. Prince Daemon was suspected to do this crime for establishing a love relationship with Rhaenyra without Harwin’s interruptions.

Lord Corlys Velaryon is another suspect who has a reason to kill Lyonel and Harwin Strong. He was suspected to might have proposed the murder for the sake of avenging the things that were injustice to his son, Ser Laenor Velaryon. He was rumored to not be the father of Rhaenyra’s children, which automatically compromises Rhaenyra’s claim to the throne and so does Laenor’s to be part of it.

The final suspect as per the book was King Viserys I himself. It is said that King Viserys I wanted to end the rumors spreading around his grandchildren. Ser Harwin is rumored to be the father of all three children of Rhaenyra Targaryen. And to end this rumor, the root of the rumor must die. And this is what indicated suspiciousness towards King Viserys as well.

But with Episode 6 of House of the Dragon out, we now have an end to all bookish suspects!
