Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, both scheduled for release in 2025, will serve as the final two films in Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The director of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is confirmed to be Destin Daniel Cretton who in past directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings for Marvel. The next two Avengers movies, in comparison to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which were both directed by the Russo Brothers, will be made by different directors.
This choice was probably made because neither project could be directed by the same person, and there was only a six-month window between their release dates. Instead, Marvel Studios is appointing two distinct directors for every movie, who will collaborate closely during the creative stage.
As there were reports of Ryan Coogler stepping in to direct Secret Wars, after the massive success of Black Panther but it maybe not entirely true as new reports and insiders claim that Marvel and Disney are very much intertested for the Russos to Direct Avengers Secret War.
Why I Think Russo Brothers Would Be Perfect For Avengers Secret Wars
It seems reasonable to get the Russo Brothers back for Avengers: Secret Wars since they were the team that directed the previous two successful Avengers films. The Russo brothers has already hinted that they would like to direct a Secret Wars adaptation, however they appear more interested in the 1984 original comic than the more current 2015 version event.
“Our love for Marvel is based on the books that we read as kids, the books that we fell in love with,” Joe told Deadline. “The one series that we adored growing up was Secret Wars. It’s incredibly ambitious. It would be bigger than Infinity War and Endgame. But it’s a massive undertaking. Those two movies were very hard to make. So trying to imagine making another two movies even bigger than those two? We’re going to have to sleep on that.”

But here is the thing I don’t really believe any of the things said by the ones working for Marvel and Disney because in the past there were many instances where the actors and the directors straight up lied about them not being a part of the movie, whether it was Andrew Garfield for Spider-Man No Way Home, Paul Rudd for Ant-Man or Tatiana Maslany for She-Hulk.
