The idea of variations, or versions of a person from other universes, was first conveyed to us by Loki. These variants may have a nearly identical appearance to the version we are currently familiar with, or they may be completely different in terms of age, looks, etc.
Spider-Man: No Way Home revealed that previously thought to be independent Marvel film franchises exist within the MCU universe. The Spider-Men played by Maguire and Garfield are distinct from the Spider-Man played by Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Then, Patrick Stewart’s portrayal of the variant Professor X appeared in Doctor Strange 2. This Professor X resembles the Professor X from the Fox franchise in every way. This acknowledges the multiverse-wide presence of the Fox franchise.
Deadpool 3 is referred to as “Deadpool 3” and is a part of the MCU. The title of the movie makes it clear that it is not a reboot but rather a direct sequel to a Fox X-Men series movie. This provides more proof that the Fox franchise exists in the multiverse and will be joining the MCU.
Merging Of The MCU-616 And Fox’s X-Men Universes
An incursion between Earth-1610 and Earth-616 marks the start of the 2015 Secret Wars comic storyline. The theory claims that Marvel will take this part of the story and place it between the Fox X-Men and MCU-616 realities.
According to He Who Remains, there was a multiversal battle in which several Kangs engaged in a war until only one remained. According to this theory, one of Kang’s final two incarnations will invade MCU-616 during the events of the Avengers: Kang Dynasty film. The Fox X-Men reality will be conquered by Kang’s final iteration. These two universes are where the most powerful entities in the multiverse reside, so these two final Kangs will be able to conquer them. The Avengers and the X-Men will be forced to wipe out each other when the convergence occurs in Avengers: Secret Wars because they each desire to live in their own universes.
Together, the X-Men and Avengers will unite the two universes. The histories of the MCU and X-Men universes will eventually converge.
