The first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has finally arrived, showing that the team is ready to promote their upcoming film. The trailer was first shown at CCXP 2022 in Brazil by Disney and Marvel. And if that sounds like a tease, it is, because the film isn’t due out until May 5, 2023; this is just the start of the promotional campaign for Guardians 3.

With the release of the first trailer, fan theories have already begun to circulate.

Guardians And Adam Warlock

Throughout the film, the Guardians will fight Adam Warlock. “We run our whole lives” may be a solid tip for every getaway they must use in order to avoid being killed by Adam in the film. And, as Adam recognizes in the film, he is looking for the wrong people. Yes, the Guardians are a swarm of wild adventurers, but they all have a heart of gold and are all broken in their own way. And in the final 40 minutes of Vol. 3, Adam understands this and may join them at the end against the High Evolutionary. There will be a scene like:

“I was formed for a single purpose. “Hunt you down and beat you up. But now I live for you, and we battle alongside each other.” Or something along those lines. He is later accepted into the Guardians.

What Happens To Gamora ?

Gamora will undoubtedly join the Guardians at the end. With a twist similar to Nebula’s in Vol. 2, but with twisted roles. We don’t think she’ll ever be with Quill again. No, not yet! Like in Vol. 1, there will be a final glance from Quill and Gamora, but it will tease us that there is hope for them in the future.

Will Rocket Die ?

Rocket will be the one that dies in the end! I honestly believe his line from the trailer proves that we will lose him in the end. In a majestic, beautiful, and devastating blaze of glory, he will sacrifice himself to save the others. His tragic death will be the most sad event in the MCU, more than Yondu, Tony, or Natasha combined. And his death will be the motivation for Groot’s line “We are Groot” and the epic gunfight with him and Quill.

Drax

Drax will quit the Guardians to spend time with his daughter. She was mentioned as possibly appearing in the film, and fans believe she will. Dave Batista himself stated that this might be his last appearance in the MCU as Drax.

The Ending

The Guardians, or what remains of them, and their new co-heroes embark on a new adventure. We’ll witness Rocket’s memorial. Groot, Mantis, Kraglin, Nebula, and Cosmo then appear. Peter and Gamora exchange a lovely smile as they stare at each other. Then Adam enters and asks something like, “And what about now?” Is there something good? “Is there something wrong?” And Gamora responds, “Perhaps a little bit of both.”

Initially, the song “In the Meantime” is perfect for the trailer. However, after hearing it in the original, fans believe it will be the movie’s closing song, immediately before the credits begin to roll. It really sounds like a song for the end.
