After the release of its first two instalments, Tom Hardy’s Venom franchise is still going strong. And now, an untitled Venom 3 will serve as the third instalment.

Venom 3’s premise is currently a secret, but Hardy recently hinted that they are searching for ways to “go bigger” and mentioned the possibility of the Multiverse.

While viewers wait for the movie’s production to start, a fresh tangible development may indicate that it will soon be time to start shooting.

After penning and producing the first two Venom movies, Kelly Marcel is reportedly in talks to be the director of Marvel and Sony Pictures’ Venom 3, which will star Tom Hardy.

Along with writing the screenplay for the first two movies that they both contributed to, Hardy and Marcel will also produce, with Marcel penning the script.

The only confirmed plot specifics are that Hardy will reprise his role as Venom, the lethal protector, after the first two movies earned a combined $1.36 billion at the global box office. It is also uncertain if any characters from the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel characters will appear in the movie or if someone will be joining Hardy from his prior movies.

Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis, who oversaw the first and second movies, will be replaced by Marcel as the director. Fans have not noticed a decline in quality despite the fact that each movie has a different director. Together, the first two movies grossed more than $1 billion at international box offices. So it truly comes as no surprise that a third movie will be released.
Hutch Parker, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and others will also produce the movie.

Eddie Brock mentions in No Way Home’s mid-credits scene that he needs to speak with Spider-Man in New York before being transported back to his own world, which may have hinted at the plot of Venom 3 as well. If the studio chooses to continue from the No Way Home cliffhanger, Venom 3 could feature Sony’s Marvel Universe’s web-slinger.
