2022 is here, and this means that Marvel fans are about to get the movies they have been waiting for a long time. Next on the horizon is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. But another highly anticipated movie that’s coming up is Thor: Love and Thunder.

The newest cinematic adventure of the God of Thunder is all ready to strike theaters this July, and it’s going to be an epic solo movie for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor till date. Taika Waititi is directing the movie and Natalie Portman is finally coming back as Jane Foster after starring in the first 2 Thor movies.

Portman hasn’t been a part of the MCU since Thor: The Dark World. But she is finally coming back in Love and Thunder, and her character will pick up the hammer as Jane Foster becomes Mighty Thor.

We don’t know how Jane becomes worthy of the hammer (or if she always has been) but recent rumors and leaks have shown what the superhero will be wearing in this Norse epic.

A Look At Jane Foster’s New Asgardian Armor

Twitter user BR Marvel News found character images from Thor: Love and Thunder, and this sent the internet into a tizzy. One of the images was of Natalie Portman in the garb of Jane Foster/Mighty Thor.

The concept art has Jane Foster clad head-to-toe in Asgardian armor while also holding what looks like Thor’s reassembled Mjolnir. Fans have been excited to see Jane Foster become the Mighty Thor, and this image will surely send the hype through the roof.

The costume looks a lot like what Chris Hemsworth’s protagonist wore in the first Thor movie. However, there are details that separate it from Hemsworth’s suit and make it closer to the design found on the pages of the comic.

Thus far in its Phase 4, Marvel Studios has been doing a great job of bringing comic book-accurate superhero looks to the small and big screen. And thankfully, they will continue doing that in Love and Thunder.

Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor Look Is Different And Yet Similar

Now, little changes have been made to the design like the small six circles that we have seen in several of MCU Thor’s looks. Those are there. But the most eye-catching of these is her helmet.

Hemsworth’s protagonist has not used the helmet, but Jane Foster is going a different route. So in the concept art, Mighty Thor’s winged headpiece is there, and it looks amazing.

Just from this concept art, it’s clear that this costume will look spectacular on the big screen when the movie comes to theaters in July.

After thing to note is Thor’s hammer. In Ragnarok, we saw Thor’s sister Hela destroy the hammer and shatter it to pieces. Hemsworth’s Thor went back in time to get his hammer back in Endgame, but the hammer he used is still broken.

In the concept art, Foster is using what seems to be the one that was decimated when Asgard fell. So how was Natalie’s Jane Foster able to get this ancient hammer back? And how did she put all the pieces back together?

We will get to know it all when Thor: Love and Thunder strikes theaters on July 8, 2022.
