Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav recently met with Tom Cruise and talked to him about “The Flash” movie. Zaslav raved about the film and Cruise got interested, asking for a private screening of the movie before its release in June. According to reports, Cruise loved the film and even called up director Andy Muschietti to congratulate him. He described “The Flash” as “everything you want in a movie” and “the kind of movie we need now.”

“The Flash” movie features Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, the title speedster, going on a multiversal adventure that brings him in contact with alternate versions of existing heroes and villains from the old DCEU, as well as new characters. DC has great hopes for the movie, which also serves to reset the DC Universe and set up the new DC Universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran’s plans.

Positive Feedback From James Gunn And Tom Cruise

James Gunn also praised the movie, calling it “one of the greatest superhero movies ever made.” This praise is significant, as “The Flash” movie will likely be the curtain call for a number of elements audiences enjoyed from the old DCEU.

Cruise’s positive feedback on “The Flash” is encouraging for DC fans. With multiple Batman actors, Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, returning as their versions of the Dark Knight, the film is poised to appeal to a wider range of fans. The movie will also feature Michael Shannon as a version of his Superman villain Zod.

“The Flash” can live up to the hype by providing something the MCU’s multiverse adventures have been lacking: an in-depth exploration of alternate universes with exciting new characters. With the positive feedback from Cruise and Gunn, DC fans can expect a thrilling adventure when “The Flash” hits theaters in June.
