Tom Holland, best known for playing Spider-Man in the MCU, has never limited himself to comic book movies alone. Holland has showcased his range with his performance in The Impossible and his role as an Army vet suffering from PTSD in Cherry.

The Crowded Room: Holland’s New Role For Apple TV+

Tom Holland’s next role is in The Crowded Room, an anthology series about true stories of individuals who struggled with mental illness, for Apple TV+. The 10-episode first season is based on writer and executive producer Akiva Goldsman’s life and inspired by the Daniel Keyes biography, The Minds of Billy Milligan.

Holland plays Danny Sullivan, a loose interpretation of Milligan, the first person to ever be acquitted of a crime due to dissociative identity disorder. The series also stars Emmy Rossum, who plays Danny’s mother, and Amanda Seyfried as Rya, a clinical psychologist. The series will debut on June 9th, 2023.

Tom Holland’s Future Plans

 Spider-Man 4 

After his emotional performance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland’s future roles have been the subject of much speculation. However, he has shared his plans to take a break following The Crowded Room’s filming. He also decided to leave social media for his mental health while promoting mental health charities.

It remains to be seen if Holland will continue his hiatus on upcoming projects. He is expected to appear in Spider-Verse 2, Spider-Man 4, and an upcoming Fred Astaire biopic.
