After making a huge comeback in Black Adam, Henry Cavill appeared to be back as Superman—but things have taken an unexpected turn. Following the release of Black Adam, there were reports that a sequel to Man of Steel was in the works, with The Flash director Andy Muschietti interested in directing a film similar in tone to the Richard Donner films, but now Henry Cavill has confirmed his departure from the DC Universe, making it clear that James Gunn intends to reboot the entire DC Universe.

Let’s take a look at several actors who could play DC’s Boy Scout after Henry Cavill hangs up his cape.

 Chris Evans

Chris Evans is ideal for the role. He has the looks, the physique, and the personality. He’d make an excellent Superman. Rather, Evans has established himself as a Superman type, owing primarily to his portrayal of Steve Rogers in the Captain America films. However, it will be far too difficult for people to forget about the vibranium shield. However, if Chris Evans can pull off the role of Superman, some Marvel fans may be disappointed.

Zac Efron

Zac Efron is handsome, athletic, and, nevertheless the charmer he always was, he’s far more convincing as Superman. If Warner Bros. chooses to go younger with a new Superman, Efron has demonstrated that he has the same youthful charm as Troy from High School Musical. He’s also grim like Superman, and he’d make an excellent Clark Kent.

Zac Efron was considered for and eventually declined the role of Superman in Man of Steel. Leonardo DiCaprio advised him to steer clear of that type of property.

What if Chalamet played a teenaged Superman who is restless and frequently gets furious and whom the general population despises.
Don’t worry, we don’t want him to be the next Homelander, but we would want his Superman to start all grumpy and slowly develop into the boy scout we know and love.

Michael B. Jordan

This idea has been in the works for quite some time, since Michael B. Jordan first mentioned it. We also believe he is the ideal candidate.
But one factor seems certain: Michael B. Jordan is at the peak of his stardom, and he has the screen presence to play the part.
Fans have also remarked that he would make an excellent Val-Zod, the Earth-2 Superman from DC Comics.

Michael B. Jordan would be an excellent pick for Warner Bros. if they want star power and an instantly recognizable face to don the cape.

James Marsden

When it came to casting his Superman film, I believe Bryan Singer made an error. He had already screwed over Marsden in X-Men and X2 by making Wolverine the leader of the X-Men despite the fact that Cyclops has nearly always been the leader, and he even got Marsden to give up the role of Cyclops in X-Men: The Last Stand.
He has the physique and ability that would be ideal for the red and blue boy scout. Marsden would be a prominent choice. Besides, he has a handsome, all-American appearance.

Liam Hemsworth

He recently succeeded Henry Cavill as the Witcher. He could now do the same things as Superman.
He would be an excellent choice because he is younger and taller than Chris Hemsworth. He is 32 years old. He demonstrated tremendous potential in The Expendables 2. Let’s hope he’s selected to play “Man of Steel.”
He has dark hair, is attractive, and is built like Superman.

Alexander Ludwig

He impressed audiences as Ace Spade in Heels and Bjorn Ironside in Vikings. He has exceptional acting skills. He is young enough and offers all of the talents required to overtake Henry Cavill as Superman. He may be blonde, but I don’t think that would be a problem once he is casted in the role.

Asher Angel

Asher Angel, who is 23 years old, is another youthful candidate for the job. As the DCU expands in the future, he is someone they can count on to stick around and stay with the brand.
Asher Angel is yet another young artist who could succeed Henry Cavill. Angel is best known for his role in Shazam! as Billy Batson.

Jacob Elordi

This Australian performer accurately portrays a youthful Superman. He demonstrated his skills in the movies The Kissing Booth, Euphoria, and Two Hearts. He’d be perfect for Gunn’s strategy. He is also quite attractive, standing 6 feet 4 inches tall and being one of the fittest actors nowadays.
