Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was a movie that really pulled at our heartstrings. It was a beautiful way of giving a tribute to Chadwick Boseman. The movie portrayed emotions well and gave us some memorable quotes that we’ll be listing.

1. T’Challa is dead, but that doesn’t mean he’s gone. – Queen Ramonda

This quote perfectly sums up the essence of the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. On the death anniversary of the late Wakandan ruler and Black Panther, Queen Ramonda utters these words to her daughter Shuri. She once again shows how wise she is. Shuri is unable to process her brother’s death and is in a state of repression and denial. By saying those words Queen Ramonda reminds Shuri of the difference between death and absence. T’Challa may be dead but his presence will always remain. His memories will be carried forward by both Queen Ramonda and Shuri. In fact, even the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a tribute to Chadwick Boseman and will forever be his legacy.

2. My ancestors would often say only the most broken people can be great leaders. – Namor

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has once more given us a greatly complex villain worthy of their title. Namor said this line when he was talking to Shuri. They both connected on a much deeper level and shared each other’s grief. He also hinted at the fact that Shuri would be a great leader because of all the losses she had endured. After all, suffering and pain make people wiser although not always.

3. Vengeance has consumed us. We cannot let it consume our people. – Shuri

There was no better way to end the movie. This quote was essentially the result of the whole two and a half our emotional struggle that the characters on screen went through. Shuri was finally able to let go of her anger and see clearly once more. She realized that vengeance was not worth it if thousands of people would lose their lives for it. In fact it is this moment when Shuri truly becomes deserving of the title of Queen of Wakanda and the Black Panther.

4. Are You Going To Be Noble Like Your Brother, Or Take Care Of Business? – Killmonger

This was something that we here at Wiki of Nerds had predicted. After Shuri ingested the synthesized heart-shaped herb, she met Erik Killmonger in the astral plane instead of her brother. We definitely agree with Erik Killmonger when he said that her need for vengeance is exactly why she met him instead of his brother. The astral plane could be a mirror into your desires. He encouraged her desire for revenge and even went to the lengths of mocking her.

5. I Am Queen Of The Most Powerful Nation In The World! And My Entire Family Is Gone! Have I Not Given Everything? – Queen Ramonda

There was nothing more satisfying than watching Queen Ramonda let go of her anger, frustration, sadness and grief all at once at the council meeting. She bellowed the above lines and the raw emotion in her voice left goosebumps in the audience during Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Despite how much she tried to keep it together, be strong and have a straight face, she could not any longer. The loss of Shuri to Namor was the last straw.

6. If I Sit And Think About My Brother For Too Long, It Won’t Be These Clothes That I’ll Burn, It’ll Be The World. – Shuri

Shuri and her emotions were definitely a big part of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Throughout the two and a half hours we pretty much see Shuri traverse the different stages of grief right from sadness and anger, to denial and then finally acceptance. Namor tries to take advantage of her rage and anger to wreak havoc on the surface world but Shuri soon realizes the errors in her ways. Throughout the movie her anger is actually just a façade by which she avoids dealing with the pain and grief.

7. The World Has Taken Too Much From You For You To Still Be Considered A Child. – M’Baku

M’Baku became one of the best supporting characters with his redemption arc and loyalty for Wakanda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. He no more sees Shuri as a child and acknowledges her growth. He realizes that her tragedies and losses have made her stronger, wiser and more fit to be the ruler than anyone else. This line showed that M’Baku too is a gentle human being who can empathize with the people he truly cares about.

8. I Have Given Everything. Let Me Die Serving My Country! – Okoye

Okoye truly won our hearts with this quote in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This simply goes to show how fiercely loyal she is to Wakanda and how protecting her people is the only purpose she has in life. When Queen Ramonda was scolding Okoye for losing Shuri you could see that Okoye was visibly shaken up. Tears pooled in her eyes when she got dismissed from the Dora Milaje.
