Interest for The Marvels grew when In WandaVision, Monica Rambeau appeared nonchalant when Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo said that apart from Wanda, Captain Marvel was the one who was able to single-handedly battle Thanos. Monica dismissed her co-workers praising Captain Marvel and went back to her work.

This reaction kicked off fan speculation about how the conflict between Carol and Monica will eventually get handled in the upcoming film. Now, a set of potential plot leaks has given us the answer to that and more.

So let us check it out:

1) Captain Marvel Did Visit Maria Rambeau

In WandaVision, Monica Rambeau is upset at Carol for never coming to meet them, and especially her mother, Maria Rambeau when she fell ill. But as per a plot leak of The Marvels released on Reddit, Captain Marvel did visit her friend Maria, and that too multiple times.

It’s possible that Monica never knew that Carol was visiting, because her trips happened during the years after Thanos’ snap. And WandaVision establishes that Monica got snapped. So she had no idea that Carol was visiting.

However, we don’t know why Captain Marvel didn’t visit Monica after everyone was brought back thanks to Tony’s sacrifice? If she had done that then Monica wouldn’t be upset at her. But maybe Captain Marvel was required elsewhere and had to leave immediately after the events of Endgame.

2) Monica, Carol, And Kamala Will Switch Places

The leak mentions that Captain Marvel is searching for the other half of Kamala’s bangle. But they don’t know how it all works and as a result, Carol, Kamala, and Monica keep switching places with each other.

The leak hints that the switch isn’t just because of the bangles, but also because the three share the same type of powers. These switches result in hilarious hijinks and also potential disasters.

3) Captain Marvel Dealing With Hala

In the first movie, Captain Marvel almost destroyed Hala, an alien planet where she was abducted. But turns out that the planet isn’t completely gone. However, Hala isn’t in a good shape either. Also, its people don’t see Carol as a hero. In fact, she’s apparently called The Annihilator by its residents.

In The Marvels, Carol will reportedly have to deal with the consequences of her actions and again decide if she wants Hala to live or die.

4) Zawe Ashton Is Playing The Villain

Apparently, Zawe Ashton is playing the main antagonist of The Marvels, a character called Dar-Benn. Apparently, she can control the atmosphere and is using portals to steal water, resources, etc., from other planets for Hala.

The people of Hala love her since she brings them rain. The reddit leak also states that Captain Marvel is obsessed with finding her because she has already destroyed planets.

5) More Goose!

In the first movie we saw a cute Flerken named Goose accompany Captain Marvel on her adventures. If you loved Goose, then you will be glad to know that The Marvels will have more of it. Literally. As per the Reddit post, there will be a batch of eggs in the space station Nick Fury will be on. And when they hatch, it will be result in a lot of Goose-like Flerken cats.

6) Park Seo-Joon Plays Captain Marvel’s Husband

The Reddit post states that South Korean actor Park Seo-Joon will play a character called Prince Yah and he will be Carol’s husband. But there’s a twist in the tale.

Apparently, the marriage wasn’t out of love but due to a misunderstanding. Apparently, Captain Marvel misinterpreted the local customs of his planet during a diplomatic mission and that resulted in her getting inadverdebtly married.

As for Prince Yah’s feelings towards Carol, different leaks say different things. One mentions that he’s in love with her while others say that they only have mutual respect for each other. The leak also states that the Prince Yah belongs from a planet where everyone communicates by singing. And if this turns out to be true, it will be a hilarious scene to witness.

7) Monica In Another Universe

The Reddit post mentions that Dar-Benn destabilizes the portals to other worlds by repeatedly opening a bunch of them. So in the final fight, Monica has to go inside one so that she can close it from the other side. And during this, she gets stuck in another universe.

8) Carol Yells At Kamala 

Kamala Khan or Ms Marvel looks up to Captain Marvel. But it looks like every interaction of theirs won’t be pleasant in The Marvels. Apparently, Carol will shout at Kamala for messing up during a battle. This will let Kamala know that her hero isn’t perfect and has human imperfections.
