The upcoming Transformers movie, “Rise of the Beasts,” set to release in June, is rumored to be in a state of disarray during its post-production phase. According to insider Jeff Sneider, the film has gone through numerous edits by almost a dozen different editing teams, leaving Paramount Pictures worried.

Sneider further states that the sequel is “a mess,” and the studio is attempting to fix it. Co-host John Rocha supports this by stating that the movie is experiencing ongoing editing woes.

The movie is set to feature the iconic character, Optimus Prime, voiced by Peter Cullen, and will introduce the Maximals and their leader, Optimus Primal, voiced by Ron Perlman. Additionally, Pete Davidson and Anthony Ramos will play Autobots Mirage and Noah, respectively. The film will also include a recast Arcee, voiced by Liza Koshy, and Peter Dinklage from “Game of Thrones” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marketing Concerns And Solid Direction

Despite the ongoing editing issues, the marketing for the film has been minimal since the last full-length trailer released in December. Furthermore, the Super Bowl ad consisted mainly of recycled footage with new clips sprinkled in between.

Director Steven Caple Jr., who delivered solid work with 2018’s “Creed II,” will helm “Rise of the Beasts.” While the live-action Transformers franchise has never been viewed as top-caliber cinema, the movies’ over-the-top fun has drawn a significant fan following.

In conclusion, while insiders have claimed that “Rise of the Beasts” is a “mess” due to ongoing post-production edits, the franchise’s history shows that the movies’ over-the-top action and fun draw a considerable fan following. Despite the marketing concerns and ongoing editing woes, the movie’s solid direction may result in another box office hit for the franchise.
