The dreadful wait is nearly over. The May 6 release of Doctor Strange 2 is just a few weeks away. If ticket sales are any indication, fans are eagerly anticipating this multiverse epic. There is certainly intriguing in the fact that Doctor Strange 2 is the sequel to NWH. However, the mystery and unconfirmed characters are what really draw people to Doctor Strange 2.

Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, who appeared in WandaVision on Disney+ following her “incident,” is also featured in Multiverse of Madness, along with Rachel McAdams as Dr. Christine Palmer.

That isn’t all, either. America Chavez will make her MCU debut, and Billy and Tommy, Wanda’s children, will return. In addition, there is the possibility of crossovers between Variants and Multiversals, including Professor X (Patrick Stewart) from the X-Men.

Despite the large cast and numerous TV spots and trailers, many people are still unsure of what to expect from this film. Fan speculation about who else might show up has been aided by a member of the Multiverse of Madness crew.

Secret Marvel Characters Teased by Doctor Strange 2 Gift

One of the stunt crew members for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness posted a picture of director Sam Raimi’s “reference materials” on Instagram:

“When the director gives you some of his reference materials as a wrap gift.”

Doctor Strange (1974) #48 features Clea, Brother Voodoo, and Sara Wolfe from Marvel Comics. Doctor Strange and Wong are the only other characters who have been confirmed for the second Doctor Strange film to appear in this comic.

Clea was a sorcerer with ties to Dormammu in the comic books. Doctor Strange and Clea had a romantic relationship, and Clea has even ruled the Dark Dimension at various times.

Actress Charlize Theron was linked to the role of Clea before director Sam Raimi’s “reference materials” were shared by Mark Wagner. Before that, there were reports of casting calls for the role.

These rumors are only bolstered by the fact that Clea is featured on the cover and in the plotline of this particular comic. That doesn’t mean that Theron or Clea will have a starring role in the film, if this is the case. A small role or cameo appearance is more likely to set Theron up for a larger role in future projects.

Give that Funko Pop! A figure of a sorcerer named Sara recently surfaced online. Sara Wolfe in Multiverse of Madness also appears to be a possibility of being the unconfirmed character in Doctor Strange 2. Sara Wolfe was Strange’s secretary and Wong’s love interest in the comics.

Brother Voodoo, like Clea, is a sorcerer who, at one point, was given the title of Sorcerer Supreme and even obtained the Cloak of Levitation. While Daniel Drumm’s role in Doctor Strange was brief, it is possible that this character will be introduced in Multiverse of Madness as a result.

While it’s true that Marvel Studios uses the comics as source material, the studio has always taken its liberties in adapting characters and storylines into live-action. Doctor Strange 2 is expected to feature familiar faces like Clea, Sara Wolfe, and Brother Voodoo. but the characters and roles they play are likely to be altered from what fans expected based on previous rumors and this new comic from Raimi.

It’s worth noting, however, that Raimi used this comic as a point of reference. After all, it was in 2004’s Spider-Man 2 that the director first mentioned Doctor Strange by name. Something from the plot of Doctor Strange would undoubtedly have been referenced if he chose this particular comic.

At this point, it’s anyone’s guess what that is and what this film has in store. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too long to find out what’s going to happen.
