The Venom: Let There Be Carnage film, which came out outside of the MCU, also did well last year. The Sony Pictures project saw Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock once again dealing with coexistence with Venom, a symbiote that kills. Carnage, Woody Harrelson’s alien, proved to be even more dangerous this time around.

Sony has made two Venom films, and they’ve already begun work on a third, despite the fact that the films have received mixed reception. Spider-Man: No Way Home’s post-credits scene featured a cameo appearance by the character.

During that stinger, something unexpected occurred. Instead of being teleported back to his homeworld with the others who made the original trip, as many had assumed, the character would, at least long enough to get some screen time. In what way? Even though this version of Eddie Brock has exited the stage, there is one final gift: a symbiote of Venom. However, what does this mean for the MCU’s future?

In an IGN interview, Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, the writers of Spider-Man: No Way Home, were asked about the potential future of Eddie Brock’s Venom-like symbiotic gift.

When it comes to the future, Sommers said, “it opens up a whole new world of possibilities and exciting events:

“It leaves the door open for possibilities. As opposed to just seeing him go back and not seeing any symbiote. So it just allows for some exciting possibilities in the future.”

McKenna made it clear that this knowledge was “above [their] pay grade,” and that the pair were “not masters of [the] course of [their] next adventure:”

“I have no idea. That is above our pay grade. We are part of a bigger, larger universe that we are not the gods of, we’re just mortals in. I think it was a fun idea that the sixth [member of] the Sinister Six gets stuck in a bar and doesn’t get out of there, but maybe he leaves a little something behind. Again, we’re not masters of that course of that next adventure.”

What Are Symbiotic Possibilities?

NWH has a wide range of endings. Any and everything is now possible for Peter Parker after his entire life was reset. As a result of the post-credits scene, Venom is getting a completely new look.

Many fans were ecstatic when the opportunity arose for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to adapt Venom’s symbiote without being hindered by Sony’s Tom Hardy films. Others were disappointed that the star didn’t last long. If Marvel Studios doesn’t take the symbiote and run with it, there’s no future for the company.

Even the authors of Peter’s story express confidence in the alien’s future, but they have no idea what that future holds. Even if that were the case, Andrew Garfield was not in No Way Home.

The symbiote’s notorious ability to corrupt and corrupt others makes it an ideal foil for Spider-Next Man’s adventure. No one loves him, and he probably still feels a lot of guilt over what happened to May, so the hero is at his lowest point. In the end, it’s not as simple as you might think.
