Come Tuesday, Vicky Pattison made an appearance on her Instagram to flaunt her beautiful curves in a yellow bikini. The star had a fun and relaxing spa day with her mum at the Glass House Retreat in Upminster.
Along with her lovely snaps, the 34-year-old former Geordie Shore star also shared a body positivity message saying ‘we all have angles we love and some we’re not so enamored with’.
She made her point by saying that her butt ‘wiggles and jiggles’ and her thighs have cellulite, but that is ‘healthy and perfectly fine’.
The reality star encouraged her five million followers to: ‘Own your lumps, bumps and jiggles and embrace every gorgeous inch of you!’
This all embracing update came as Vicky Pattison constantly tries to ‘encourage people to stop beating themselves up’ over their bodies. She sends a friendly reminder to her fans that not everything posted on social media is realistic.
In the lengthy caption, Vicky wrote:
‘Bodies move, bodies can change, we all have angles we love and some we’re not so enamoured with..
‘All of this is perfectly normal- but what is not normal is the way we’ve been conditioned to think that we are only attractive, desirable or worthy of love if we have flat tummies, perfectly smooth skin, a rock hard butt & pose like our lives depended on it- like in this first pic- where it actually looks like I have something stuck up my butt.’
The television personality added:
‘I never felt good enough, I never felt happy! Don’t get me wrong, I still have my demons & I think as women we’ll always have to work at truly loving what we see in the mirror, at accepting ourselves & our shapes but the older I get- the more comfortable I become just being me.
‘My butt wiggles & jiggles, my thighs have cellulite & my tummy is really only flat if I sit JUST like this. And all of that is ok.. because all of that is normal & healthy & perfectly fine. And I have so much more to offer than just a body shape anyway- we all do!’
To end her caption, Vicky wrote:
‘The journey to loving the skin you’re in isn’t an easy one- and I am by no means all the way there- a lifetime of telling yourself you aren’t good enough takes a while to undo- but I am closer than I’ve ever been and I just want to encourage more of you lovely lot to join me here..
‘We’re all beautiful in our own ways- so get out of your heads and start living your lives!!! Own your lumps, bumps and jiggles and embrace every gorgeous inch of you!! You deserve to live a life filled with fun, self love and carbs..’
This latest update happened after Vicky Pattison had an emotional breakdown the other day. The star confessed that she’d go back and give her younger self a hug. And also tell her how ‘things got better’, and ‘not to sacrifice respect for attention’.
Earlier this month, Vicky tied the knot with fiancé Ercan Ramadan in Dubai. Following which she had a heart-to-heart with fans on the topic of her mental and emotional health for Heart’s No Filter series this week.
In conversation, the television personality talked about her struggles with finding herself while trying to leave behind her people-pleasing attitude. It was after she stopped living up to expectations that she found herself to be truly happy.
