The Guardians of the Galaxy are going to be a big part of the next few years on both theatres and on Disney+. Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord and Vin Diesel’s Groot would be some of the stars. When Diesel is prepared for Phase 4, he’ll likely have as many as four new Groot credits under his belt.
Audiences got to see their favorite humanlike plant again in Avengers: Endgame, even though Thanos destroyed the Avengers compound on Earth. The Benatar took the Guardians and Thor away from the Benatar and sent them to a new home. No matter what happens to Groot in Phase 4, the alien teenager will always have a good time and make fun of himself.
Groot’s MCU journey will keep going through 2022 and 2023, even though Diesel only has one main line to work with. A few weeks ago, the actor gave the fans of the MCU a peek inside his recording process when he came back to the studio to record a movie.
He posted a video of himself getting ready to record his part as Groot for a new Marvel Studios project.

Starring in Groot, the actor worked with sound engineer Doc Kane for more than 20 years to record his work. Kane worked on other projects like Iron Giant. Asked what movie he was filming for the MCU, Diesel said only that they were filming “Groot.”
Vin Diesel: Here with my friend Doc, who has been working with me for many, many many years. What’s the first thing we ever did, Doc?
Doc Kane: Iron Giant!
Vin Diesel: Iron Giant. He actually recorded me doing the voice for Iron Giant. And now, we’re doing Groot.
The fact that Vin Diesel doesn’t have to leave the voiceover booth to play Groot makes it one of his most important roles as a voice actor.
Due to the fact that the action star has been in four previous MCU films, as well as a number of other MCU-related projects, it looks like he isn’t done yet.
In other words, for what project will he be recording a new show under the name “Groot?”
The next Thor installment is debuting in the second half of the year. Diesel’s work on Groot’s next appearance, which is set to happen in just over six months, is almost done.
It’s possible that I Am Groot: The Animated Series won’t be on Disney+ before then. So the fans won’t be able to see their favourite Guardian again until the holiday special for Guardians of the Galaxy, which could be in December.
If you look at the video Diesel made, you can’t figure out which movie or Disney+ project he’s working on right now. During Phase 4 of the MCU, Groot’s intergalactic team of misfits will take over the MCU. “I am the Groot” lines are sure to flow.
The movie Thor: Love and Thunder will star Chris Hemsworth with Vin Diesel’s Groot in it. It is set to open in theatres in July 2022.
