During a virtual interview on Feb 1; Tom was discussing his new project when he learned some exciting news about another film he recently starred in, Spiderman: No Way Home.

The host said,
“A movie you’re currently watching is quickly on its way to becoming the biggest movie of all time…. “Let’s get started right here. In other words, how does it feel to be this close to the biggest movie of all time, having achieved your childhood dream of becoming an actor?”
A befuddled Tom asked someone off camera, before returning to the host.
“I think we’re a bit of a way away from the biggest movie of all time, right?”
‘No?’ he said in reply.
Tom is, of course, correct. In order for No Way Home to become the highest-grossing film of all time, it still has a lot to go.
It’s also correct to say that No Way Home currently ranks No. 4 at the domestic box office, just $23 million behind Avatar at the No. 3 spot.
The host also stated that the movie is approximately $20 million away from dethroning Avatar from No.3. Now, that’s a huge deal for a solo for Tom.
Tom’s face fell into a state of shock, so he tried to confirm it. A person off camera asked him, with their mouths agape.
That was all the Spider-Man star could muster as he tried to comprehend the news.
Tom confirmed that this was the first time he’d heard the latest box office stats, adding that he’s finding the whole thing a little unbelievable.
He exclaimed, visibly taken aback by the news-
“Oh my gosh, that’s absolutely incredible! To be honest, I had no idea. “Wow!” Oh my gosh! That’s… It’s awe-inspiring. Honestly, I’m blown away.”
The news that No Way Home hopefully won’t be Tom Holland’s final outing as Spider-Man will be welcome news to Tom Holland fans.
Sony Pictures franchise producer Amy Pascal made an unofficial announcement in November that a third Spider-Man film trilogy is in the works.
According to her statement to Fandango,
“Our next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel is in the works. We’re thinking of this as three films and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the final instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe”
Nevertheless, Tom claims that his future as Spider-Man is still up in the air because of the rocky relationship between Sony and Marvel.
Tom admitted this week that he doesn’t know if he’ll ever reprise his role as Peter Parker, but he said that “conversations” have been taking place about it.
A possible future for Spider-Man has been discussed, but for the time being, Tom said to Entertainment Weekly on Feb 1. When asked what the future holds, he said, “We don’t know.”
It was then revealed that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Sony CEO Tom Rothman were “thinking about something” with Pascal. At the moment, he said, “I have no idea what that is.”
No matter what happens in the future, he said, he’s just happy to be a part of No Way Home’s success right now.
At the end of the interview, Tom expressed his success in pure joy.
“I’m still riding the wave of the success of the film and enjoying that”
