After the D23 Expo today, we know what Marvel plans for the future of the MCU. We’ve got various Cast announcements and various trailers for the upcoming movies and TV shows.

One of the most awaited cast announcements was that of The Thunderbolts. We have finally got to know who will be the MCU’s Thunderbolts.

Let’s dive in and see all the anti-heroes present in it.

Yelena Belova

Recent rumors pointed toward Yelena played by Florence Pugh being the leader of The Thunderbolts. After being Manipulated by Valentina in Black Widow, Yelena seeks revenge from Hawkeye.

Her thirst for revenge almost drives her to kill the Avenger, but after knowing the reality of her sister’s death, Yelena goes rogue once again.

Yelena seems to be the best fit for the leader of the Thunderbolts, as Zemo is still under arrest by the Wakandans.

Valentina Allegra De Fontaine

MCU’s Contessa played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, is the one who brings together The Thunderbolts in the first place. She is considered to be the MCU’s Palpatine, manipulating everyone without being under anyone’s eye.

Valentina will play a crucial role in The Thunderbolts. Fans speculate that she’ll try and free Baron Zemo from the Wakandan Prison, as in the comics, Zemo is the leader of the Thunderbolts. The same could be the case in the future for the Thunderbolts.

Winter Soldier/White Wolf

Sebastian Stan will be returning as the White Wolf in the Thunderbolts. Theories point to Barnes being manipulated about Thunderbolts being a superhero team.

Seeing his past life as the servant of Hydra, he is driven to join the team to pay for his past deeds.

Ghost

Hannah John-Kamen will be returning as Ghost. After the events of Antman And The Wasp, there have been no hints of where Ghost has been. It’s still unknown if she had survived the snap or not.

Her health had only declined as we had seen in the events of Antman 2 when Hank, Janet, and Hope had been snapped away, and Scott was caught in the quantum realm, but if Ghost wasn’t snapped away, she wouldn’t have been cured, her powers would only have been elevated.

Her role in Thunderbolts points toward her being snapped away, as she has her powers and is still alive.

Red Guardian

David Harbour returns as the Red Guardian, whose fate has been unknown after the events of Black Widow. Alexei Alanovich Shostakov aka The Red Guardian was a Russian spy behind the Black Widow Project.

It’s likely that he and Yelena have been reunited after the death of Natasha, and Yelena must have brought him into the team.

Taskmaster

After the Taskmaster hoax in Black Widow, fans were left disappointed as Marvel totally went away from the comics. It’s been confirmed that Olga Kurilenko will be returning as Taskmaster in The Thunderbolts.

The US Agent was finally introduced in Falcon And The Winter Soldier as the new Captain America. At the end of the season, after he met Valentina, he finally became the U.S. Agent.

It’s still unknown who’ll be the villain of The Thunderbolts, but it won’t be for long.
