What Finding A Role With Avengers Studio Is Like For Keanu Reeves

One of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Keanu Reeves, is conspicuously absent from the MCU. On numerous occasions, the Canadian actor has said that he would love to get a role to play with the Avengers Studio crew. However, nothing tangible has ever come out of it yet. After The Matrix, it’s only a matter of time before we see another MCU project featuring the actor.

As Constantine in the 2005 DC Comics film, Reeves is no stranger to the world of comic book movies. This, especially after having voiced an unrevealed role in the new DC League of Super-Pets movie. Keanu Reeves hasn’t appeared in a Marvel Studios film yet. And what kind of discussions have happened between him and the MCU’s top brass since then? As it turns out, in a new interview with Reeves, the actor seems to have some ideas about how the MCU works and where he might fit in.

Kevin Feige is the “Cool Cat”

Kevin Feige

Keanu Reeves recently described Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige as a “cool cat” in an interview with Comicbook.com.

Kevin Feige is “a cool cat,” said the actor when he was asked about the possibility of joining the MCU. Despite this, Reeves says for a role with Avengers Studio, he will “have to find something” to work on:

“We have met, and [Kevin Feige]’s a cool cat. Yeah. But no, we don’t have anything, gotta find something.”

Asked if he could see himself as a part of Marvel Studios, Reeves said, “[he] actually [doesn’t] have an answer” but thinks “it would be fun to join in on the fun of it.”

“Oh my gosh, I don’t know! I actually don’t have an answer… There’s so many wonderful films and filmmakers and artists participating in those films.”

For Keanu Reeves, It’s Only A Matter Of Time

Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves is one of the safest bets when it comes to actors joining the MCU. As Kevin Feige has previously stated, the Marvel Studios team has discussed Keanu Reeves entering the franchise with nearly every venture they’ve put out. Mr. Reeves will undoubtedly be a part of an MCU project at some point; all that remains is to find the right role.

Reeves’ name has been linked to the forthcoming Moon Knight series, but no official confirmation has been made. In the event that Keanu Reeves had been secretly cast in a film, Moon Knight seems like the perfect fit. A lot of people were expecting John Wick actor to play the role of Moon Knight, which Oscar Isaac has been attached to for months.

According to other rumors, if and when Ghost Rider or Silver Surfer join the MCU, Keanu Reeves could play them. Acting as Ghost Rider and being part of the Marvel universe for an extended period makes sense if Marvel plans to build up for a possible Midnight Suns squad (a group that Ghost Rider is a member of in comics).
