She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has given us a peek at She-Hulk’s powers. We have also seen her have a bout with Hulk in the very first episode. She seems like she has it all under control. However, every superhero has a weakness or else they would be undefeatable. So the question is what is She-Hulk’s biggest weakness?

She-Hulk seems stronger than Hulk

In the first episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law we witness Jen Walters get her powers. Smart Hulk then takes Jen to his more or less secret lab in Mexico to train her and help her get in control. However, here we find out that Jen has no alter ego at all. She is completely in control and conscious when she transforms into She-Hulk. So all the years that it took Banner to come to terms with the other guy living in his head is simply not required by Jen.

She seems to be quite a natural at it all. Jen has complete control over when she transforms and can also regulate her anger. She says that it’s because she has been managing her anger all her life due to being a woman. Walters shows immense strength to as they practice stunts such as ground pound, boulder tossing and leaping from one cliff to another. She also masters the sonic clap within just three tries. Jen even seems to have an edge over Hulk when they fight over their disagreement. The entire episode portrayed She-Hulk as pretty all-powerful and did not show any weaknesses. So how indestructible is She-Hulk?

Her biggest weakness

Hulk and She-Hulk are both a product of excessive exposure to gamma radiation. However, the Hulk’s strength is actually She-Hulk’s biggest weakness. The Hulk is as his strongest when he is angry. His anger and rage fuels his strength and increases his power by several magnitudes. In fact, Hulk is significantly weaker in the episode of She-Hulk since he has now taken on the Smart Hulk personality. His rage has become contained and this limits his powers. In every other storyline such as World War Hulk, he becomes practically unstoppable as he is rage fueled.

However, in She-Hulk’s case her strength is not tied to her anger. While she may be stronger than Hulk in the calm state, he quickly outclasses her in case of raw strength as they get angrier. Moreover, the angrier she gets the more careless she becomes in the comics especially. The Hulking out process is also variable and depends on each individual. It depends on unconscious hopes, desires, insecurities, and fears. In fact, Bruce’s alter ego only exists due to his traumatic childhood and his mental health issues. Jen becomes more reckless, her fighting technique becomes sloppy and her judgement gets clouded the angrier she gets.

In this issue she faces her biggest challenge yet as she is face to face against Jen Walters aka She-Hulk. What’s more is that She-Hulk is one of her closest friends. She is also obviously very strong and powerful. She-Hulk unexpectedly attacks Captain Marvel as Carol is engaged in combat with Black Panther. Later on in the comics, Captain Marvel also uses She-Hulk’s emotions against her. When She-Hulk finds out that its her dear friend Carol Danvers who has been attacking her, she has a moment of hesitation. She is naturally heartbroken and confused. This brief pause and emotional disturbance is taken advantage of by Captain Marvel who figures that it was the best moment to carry out her attack. This essentially means that her biggest weakness are her emotions that stop her from thinking tactically and logically.
