The release of Eternals on Disney+, where it will be available to watch for the first time or rewatched by fans all over the world, is just around the corner. The superpowered team of immortal beings is confronted by the Deviants in the all-star flick following Thanos’ defeat in Avengers: Endgame.

The film’s production has received a slew of new revelations, including the surprising inspiration for Eternals from Ant-Man and the Wasp. The Celestial Arishem would have created life on a planet in a scene that was cut from the theatrical cut, which was also discussed.

Eternals’ DVD and Blu-ray releases will include four previously unseen scenes that were cut from the final version of the film. One of those deleted scenes has now been released ahead of Disney+’s launch. Marvel has made a previously unreleased scene from Eternals available for viewing.

Eternals deleted scene “Nostalgia,” featuring Lia McHugh as Sprite and Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, has been released by Marvel Studios via Thrillist.

In the shadow of Babylon’s ruins, the two men debate the virtues of humankind. Sprite focuses on their destructive nature throughout history, while Makkari highlights how the Avengers sacrificed and stayed strong to save half the universe and defeat Thanos.

The moment reveals Thanos’ signature chin on the ‘Thanos’ sign. The full video is available here.  After Thanos’ Demise, the Eternals reflect on it.

Eternals is one of Marvel Studios’ most introspective projects, delving deeply into the beliefs of the film’s titular characters. An ideological conflict was aimed at challenging the group when faced with the choice of preserving humanity or allowing it to perish.

Although the execution of this concept was criticized, this deleted scene shows it in its purest form. What makes the Eternals story so compelling is the internal conflict and justifications for the group’s beliefs. It is a shame that this scene was cut from the final cut.

No matter how big the stakes get, this clip shows the Avengers can take on any threat they face if they defeat Thanos and his big chin. This could break the Multiverse.
