Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania is one of the most anticipated upcoming MCU projects. It will be involving Kang and will be very important in furthering Kang’s storyline in the MCU. In fact, the movie might even see the death of a beloved character. Another interesting development in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is that Scott Lang’s daughter, Cassie Lang will be a pretty big part of the project. It is also rumored that she will finally become the superhero called Stature or Stinger as seen in Marvel comics. This would make her another new addition to the team of Young Avengers. So let us explore how and which superhero Cassie Lang will become.
In the shown footage, Cassie is seen in a car with Scott and Hope. In fact, she is a catalyst for the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Scott Lang is pulled into action after he finds his daughter Cassie Lang to be arrested. Eventually, he needs to take part in a heist for Kang in exchange for Cassie’s freedom. Later on in the footage, Cassie can also be seen sharing the screen with Kang. All of this points to the fact that Cassie will be getting her own superhero arc and will be joining the other young avengers soon. Moreover, Cassie expressed her desire to be a superhero and help her father when she was younger.
Stature and Stinger both have been aliases adopted by Cassie Lang in her entire career as a superhero. She desperately wanted to be a superhero and thus repeatedly exposed herself to Pym particles unbeknownst to her father. She lived with Scott Lang in the Avengers mansion and even developed relationships with the other heroes such as Tony Stark. This simply encouraged her desire to become a superhero even further. After the death of her father, Cassie was forced to live with her mother and step father. However, in rebellion she joined the Young Avengers. Kate Bishop who was already a part of the team, welcomed her with open arms. She used the wealth and resou rced of her affluent family to provide Cassie with technologically advanced armors, suits and weapons.
Thus, she formally became a part of the Young Avengers. This is when Cassie Lang became Stature. With them she went on several missions until her real identity was revealed to her parents by Jessica Jones in an attempts to stope the Young Avengers. Later on in the comics, she was revived by Doctor Doom as an effort to right his wrongs. This is when she became Stinger. She started of her career as a superhero afresh. Cassie took on a dangerous mission whereby she wanted to dismantle a supervillain organization from the inside. However, her plan backfired and she needed rescuing by her father. After a lot of complications involving Scott’s trial for the crimes committed by Cassie and the revelation of the truth, the father daughter duo were finally able to start their superhero journey together. Ant-Man and Stinger became partners .
Stinger’s powers are similar to that of Ant-Man. Due to her continuous exposure to Pym Particles, she has the ability to shrink and enlarge her size. She could size down to the height of an ant and enlarge herself to gigantic sizes as well. Cassie was a highly skilled combatant. She was trained in hand to hand combat by none other than Captain America. She was also trained in self defense by Wolverine.
Similar to Ant-Man, Stinger was able to communicate with insects and ants. Her specially created helmet also helped her in this communication. It basically amplified the signals. Additionally, much like Wasp, she had a pair of wings on her back that allowed her to fly. Cassie as Stinger was a smart and strategic hero who was an integral part of the Young Avengers.
