Sergei Kravinoff, a Russian game hunter who, in the comics, hunts out the web-slinger in an effort to become the world’s finest hunter, will be brought to life in Kraven the Hunter. Sony hopes to portray the narrative of the famous villain successfully in his debut big-screen appearance by assembling an all-star ensemble as it did with the previous three Spider-Man-related films.

With that out of the way, let’s go over the main seven actors that have been officially confirmed for parts in Kraven The Hunter.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson – Sergei Kravinoff/Kraven the Hunter

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who previously portrayed Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron, will play Sony’s Kraven in the character’s first standalone film. This will provide the actor with a unique opportunity to take the helm of a major motion picture feature film starring a character who has been conspicuously missing from previous Marvel films.

While Taylor-Johnson acknowledged that his portrayal of Kraven in this film would be different from that of fans, he assured them that Kraven will remain true to his character as a formidable mercenary out to kill the most deadly of prey.

Ariana DeBose – Calypso

Ariana DeBose, fresh off an Oscar nomination for her performance in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, will make her Marvel debut in the upcoming film Kraven. Calypso, a voodoo priestess endowed with magical powers who has been romantically linked to Kraven, is said to be the role she will portray in Sony’s next film.

Though DeBose has spoken very little about her role in Kraven, her views have been uniformly upbeat as filming has progressed.

Fred Hechinger – Chameleon

For the Sony Universe, Fred Hechinger of White Lotus will play Chameleon, Spider-first Man’s major adversary from the Marvel Comics era. A formidable initial opponent for Taylor-Kraven, Johnson’s the Chameleon can transform into almost any form he can envision, as his name suggests.

Alessandro Nivola

Alessandro Nivola joins the cast of Kraven as a nefarious star, however, his exact character is unknown as of yet. The film is scheduled for release in late 2023. Already becoming recognized for his work in films like Amsterdam, his star power in Kraven is expected to increase once his identity is made public.

Levi Miller

After appearing in A Wrinkle in Time and Pan, Levi Miller was revealed in April 2022 as a member of the Kraven cast, however, his position in the film wasn’t specified. Due to his likeness to Aaron Taylor-Johnson, many are speculating that he will play a younger version of Kraven; however, if this isn’t the case, his role could be significantly expanded.

Christopher Abbott – Foreigner

Christopher Abbott, star of Sanctuary, will portray another major antagonist in Kraven, the Foreigner. The Foreigner has any innate superpowers, yet he has dedicated his life to becoming a master martial artist and assassin. Silver Sable, a major supporting character in the PlayStation 4 Spider-Man game, happens to be his wife in the comics.

Russell Crowe

Russell Crowe, fresh off his role as the Greek god Zeus in Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder, will switch studios to take on a part with the Kraven team for Sony. Fans are hopeful his next appearance, in which he is supposed to portray Kraven’s father, is more well-received than his stint in the MCU.
