With the release of the Ant-Man 3 trailer, Marvel Studios recently provided fans with the first glimpse into this crazy journey. In addition to Scott’s encounters with Kang the Conqueror, the biggest antagonist in the Multiverse Saga, played by Jonathan Majors, the trailer gave viewers a glimpse of a few more important characters as Phase 5 of the journey gets started.
One of them was the legendary comedian Bill Murray, whose involvement in the movie was rumored from the very beginning.
The identity of the role that comedian and actor Bill Murray will play in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is undisclosed. Despite his short appearance in the first trailer, Murray might end up playing a key role in the movie’s plot. The first Ant-Man 3 teaser makes it abundantly clear how deadly the Quantum Realm actually is through Janet van Dyne’s remarks.
In the first official trailer for Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Bill Murray made his MCU debut. The Charlie’s Angels actor is supposed to portray an underused comic book villain known as Krylar.
Murray, who is just briefly visible in the trailer, is dressed in a stylish blue suit with gold highlights on the collar and shoulders.
Who Is Krylar ?
Krylar only appeared for a brief moment in The Incredible Hulk’s issue in 1962 in Marvel comics, and he died in the plot there. In that book, the Hulk travels through the Micro-Verse eventually encountering Krylar, who has created a device that can embody anyone’s greatest nightmares.
The character also had a brief appearance in Season 5 of Agents of SHIELD as the Confederacy’s co-leader, who was eventually eliminated by Glenn Talbot.
Even though the time-traveling villain will be the MCU’s next big bad, Kang might not be Ant-Man 3’s major antagonist. With Bill Murray’s character, Marvel might take a different tack and decide to reveal very little of him in the trailers, making his potential role as the major villain more of a shocker. If he plays Krylar, the comic book version of the character could be used to tie into MCU adaptations of Hulk storylines. Even if Murray’s role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a one-off, like Krylar in the comics, his terrible deeds may still have a big effect.
