Mallory Book also known as “The face that never lost a case.” is a lawyer who has had an absolutely impressive career and great upwards graph. Ever since she was a child she has been great at academics. She was also an extremely attractive and beautiful girl. While in college, she won the Ms. Utah competition. However, she had bigger and better plans for life than just being a pretty face. Eventually, she graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University and served as a senior editor of the BYU Law Review. She-Hulk describes Mallory Book as the barracuda lawyer with supermodel looks. She was called the face that never lost a case because she had the longest streak of winning cases and destroyed her opposition every time in court. Mallory has a great inclination towards all legal matters and has a very intelligent mind.

Mallory was hired by GLK and H after she moved to New York. This is where she earned her title for not losing cases. She worked with colleagues, former bouncer turned lawyer Augustus “Pug” Pugliese and Awesome Android, AKA Awesome Andy. However, when Holliway hires Jennifer Walters it sparks a serious workplace rivalry between them two. As seen in episode 5, she also represents Todd Phelps in the show. The same guy who went on a date with She-Hulk and turned out to be a pretty creepy fan-boy. During her career she has fought cases against She-Hulk herself, worked alongside Doctor Strange on the case regarding the Ghost of Bailey Briggs and even won a case for Dr. Samuel Sterns aka The Leader. We will be seeing the Leader as the main villain of Captain America: New World Order. This makes her character even more interesting.

In the comics she has an intense rivalry with She-Hulk though the series might play it differently. In the comics, Mallory often went out of her way to sabotage Jen’s career and manipulate her at every step of the way. She used She-Hulk as a middle man to contact other superheroes and gather witnesses which often made Jen feel like less of a lawyer. This was pretty apparent when she asked Jen to help in a case purely to get in touch with Ben Grimm aka The Thing from Fantastic Four. She also believed that Jen did not have to work for her position at GLK and H the way she had to do. According to her, Jen got things easy purely because she was green and over two meters tall.

This might be slightly similar to the show’s initial approach when Mallory and Jen first met. However, after Mallory and Jen had drinks together and vibed at the bar, it seems that the show might be going in a completely different direction. Some fans even believe that Mallory might be a possible love interest for She-Hulk in the show.

Her conflict with Titania

In the show she represents She-Hulk against Titania and her frivolous lawsuit. In the comics too she has several unpleasant run-ins with Titania. Having been a fellow colleague of She-Hulk she ended up on the radar of Titania. When Titania barged into GLK and H offices looking for She-Hulk she severely injured Mallory Book and almost crippled her. It took Mallory months to recover from the injury. Afterwards she blamed She-Hulk for the entire incident
