Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame was a big hit of its time whose anticipation can still be seen in some way or the other. However, the hype for the new upcoming marvel studios movie releasing in December SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME has its own fandom.

However, the utter excitement for this Tom Holland’s upcoming threequel movie is fairly because of the spreading rumour that previously played the role of spider man by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are going to be a part of this project. Any diehard marvel fan would be on top of the mountain after knowing this information.

The rumour first began when the villain of 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Jammie Foxx announced his return as Electro and villain of 2004’s Spider-Man 2 Alfred Molina returning as Doc Ock.

Now wasn’t it necessary to counter these two villains from two different eras with their respective hero counterparts?

The official trailer of the upcoming Marvel movie Spiderman: No Way Home has been released now. Doc Ock’s first look can be seen from the trailer since 2004, though he’s not the only one in the MUC debut.

DOC OCK RETURN AFTER 17 LONG YEARS

As seen in the trailer, a de-aged goggle-wearing Doc Ock greets Peter with ‘Hello Peter’ toward the end of the teaser.

There were also other spidey villains in the trailer that were from the past spider man films, such as the Green Goblin and many more can be seen in the movie.

Doctor Otto Octavius did not die as a villain in Spiderman 2 story. He was a scientist who mentored Peter. It was his miscalculation in his presentation that led to the death of his beloved wife Rosie. He blamed himself for his wife’s death. However, by the end of the movie Maguire’s web-slinger was able to help him take back control over his emotions. Otto in regret sacrifices himself and destroys the fusion detector.

Now the question that arises is if Doc Ock didn’t die a villain then why is he one in the upcoming movie? What is it that he wants?

Which Peter was Doc Ock referring to?

In spider man 2, Doc Ock was shown dead. However, the fans know about Doc Ock in No Way Home when his character arises from the moment of his death in Hudson river and greets peter with a hello.

But the real question which arises is how was he still alive when he died in spider man 2? And who did he refer to when he said ‘hello peter’? Is Holland’s Peter, the Peter Parker he’s talking to?

It is also possible that Ock was addressing Tobey Maguire’s version of Peter. Only Ock knows what’s happening in the wake of Stanger’s spell.

Disney + Loki fans are of the opinion that time isn’t only linear but multiversal stories involve time travel, which can be a plausible explanation of how spider-man villains are still alive. There’s also a chance that Ock’s fusion reactor and his experimentation can be somehow connected explaining how these things are happening. Having said all this, we are pretty sure that fans are thrilled to see this anticipated movie and to finally get answers to all of their theories.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to release in theatres on December 17, 2021.
