2023 is finally here and fans can’t wait for the Star Wars season to begin. Out of all the show gracing our Disney+ screens this year, it can’t be denied that most fans are eagerly waiting for “The Mandalorian” season 3 and “Ahsoka” to begin. Subreddits and social media platforms are buzzing with various speculations of plot leaks and the characters we might get to see in these two shows. A recent rumor doing the rounds of the Star Wars fandom says that we will get to see a well-known character who has appeared in the original Star Wars trilogy. Read on to know more.

The Mandalorian And Ahsoka Could Introduce A Star Wars Character

Mon Mothma
Mon Mothma

Who is this character that season 3 of “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka” could introduce in their respective shows? Here’s a hint- we just saw her in the “Andor” show. As per Making Star Wars, Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) could appear in these shows as she’s relevant to their plot. The site says that since she created the Military Disarmament Act that left the galaxy vulnerable as it reduced the military forces of The Republic, so she could appear due to this reason. Here’s what the outlet says:

“I have been told Mon Mothma is relevant in the new shows. She did create the Military Disarmament Act which has left the galaxy vulnerable to such an unknown threat. She is likely in these shows in a cameo size part.”

As a result of her passing the Military Disarmament Act, Thrawn has now been able to rebuilt his army and he also has his Star Destroyer. The outlet further says that he will pose a real threat to the fledgling New Republic. Here’s what the site says:

“Thrawn now has a Jedi with an apprentice. Thrawn has his Star Destroyer. Thrawn has a “resurrected” or “rebuilt” army under his command. This is a real threat to the New Republic even with a young Luke Skywalker who has only begun to build his Jedi Order. Ezra and Ashoka will have to fight Baylon and Shin to safely return home and to protect home from them. I suspect Thrawn wants to use Baylon to kill Luke Skywalker (like in Heir to the Empire with Jorus C’baoth).”

Who Are Shin And Baylon?

Ashoka
Ahsoka

Making Star Wars says that Shin and Baylon are new characters who will be introduced in the “Ahsoka” show. The site further says that Ivanna Sakhno is playing Shin. As per the outlet, Shin is Baylon’s apprentice. As for Baylon, he’s apparently a force-user who has been corrupted. Here are quotes from the site:

“Shin is an apprentice of Baylon, a force-user who has embraced the dark side, probably in allegiance with The Nightsisters. She is cold, calculated, and desperate to prove herself to her Jedi Master. A survivor of Order 66, a Jedi named Baylon, fled to this unknown region of the galaxy for safety. Baylon wanted to maintain the Jedi way but was corrupted over time, maybe from the influence of life with the Nightsisters (Shin herself might be a former Nighsister).”

Thrawn
Thrawn

The outlet also says that Baylon and Grand Admiral Thrawn team up to kill Ahsoka Tano. So they send Shin to get the job done. However, Shin is no match for the vastly trained Ahsoka. As such, it looks like Baylon will have to come out and fight her. The site says:

“Sometime around Return of the Jedi, before the series takes place, Baylon takes Shin on as his apprentice. Somehow Baylon and Thrawn become allied and Shin is tasked to hunt and kill Ahsoka Tano. Of course, it is doubtful Shin will challenge Ahsoka too much and this will bring Baylon out into a larger conflict with Tano herself.”

This is the second major “Ahsoka” leak that has come from Making Star Wars. Previously, the site revealed that Ahsoka will see various alternate future and events through the World Between Worlds. The online site also said that she will fight Anakin instead of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar. It remains to be seen how much of this leak ultimately comes true.

Stay tuned for more updates.
