Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is minting money at the box office and receiving praise from critics and audiences alike. However, not everyone is satisfied with the movie. Many think that there are elements of the film that could have been improved upon. So here are the top 3 things that Black Panther 2 could have done differently:

1) Better Action Scenes

One of the topmost complaints from fans was the lack of action scenes. In the film, there were three major action scenes- one was between Okoye, Shuri, Ironheart, and the Talokans on the bridge in the USA, the second was Namor’s invasion, and the third was the climactic fight. But for many, these weren’t enough because we saw the new Black Panther fight in her suit only in the last battle.

Also, the last fight between Talokan and Wakanda seemed poorly designed. On subreddits and Twitter, Marvel fans wondered why Wakanda brought out only one ship in the middle of the ocean? And why were they so redundant while fighting the underwater people even though they possessed hi-tech weapons? These questions have made many fans scratch their heads in confusion.

2) Removing The Conventional Good Ending Between Wakanda And Talokan

The movie was meaty and set up the Wakanda vs Talokan plotline well. But the conventional good ending where the two nations stopped fighting and reconciled because Namor and Shuri told them to was abruptly done. After all, even though Namor lost his 1v1 fight with Shuri, the Talokans had almost defeated the Wakandans. It seemed like an easy victory was on the cards for the Talokans.

The repercussions of the fight would have been far-reaching if the Talokans had indeed pressed forth. After all, even Shuri wouldn’t have been able to fight them all off. This might have led to Wakanda coming under Talokans’ control. And maybe Namor would have moved forward with his plan of setting the world on fire.

However, there is a saving grace to the conventional good ending. Because it’s later revealed that Namor could be plotting something big now, since they have Wakanda as an ally. And with the US still suspecting Wakanda regarding the murder of the people on the Vibranium searching ship, things will surely get politically fascinating.

3) Removing Ironheart

Ironheart Vs Namor

It can’t be denied that Ironheart stuck out like a sore thumb. Her inclusion and the conflict around her seemed forced and sudden. Her character remained that of a snarky one-line spouting one, and this prevented many from getting attached to her. She is just a plot-device to get the conflict between Wakanda and Talokan started. The film also doesn’t tell us much about her, and she seems like a glorified product put in to advertise the upcoming Ironheart show.

And while MCU fans previously loved these setups, but a jam-packed Phase 4 that moved too quickly from one project to the other, has made them wary of these. To make matters worse, the lack of proper bonding scenes between her and Shuri/ Okoye made audiences feel more detached from her.

So removing her from the movie would have made the film smoother. And in her stead, literally anyone could have functioned as the plot-device to get the conflict between the two nations started. Ironheart should ideally have been introduced in her own upcoming project like Ms. Marvel or She-Hulk were.

But overall, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a great bookend to Phase 4 and is a better product than much of what we have seen till now. But fans feel that if the above points had been followed, it would be an excellent film.

What do you think about these points? Or do you think that Black Panther 2 is perfect as it is?
