The possibility of a comeback of any of the Game of Thrones’ actors to reprise their roles has been the subject of considerable discussion since the show’s 2019 finale after eight long seasons.

For sometime now, reports about Kit Harington reprising his role as Jon Snow in the upcoming spin-off have been making the rounds. Despite some fan skepticism, George R.R. Martin proved all speculation to be true on his blog titled ‘Snow… and Other stuff.’

This blog comes after The Hollywood Reporter instigated that a show of this sorts was in development. Martin was kind enough to confirm the same.

“Yes, there is a Jon Snow show in development.”

He further goes on to compliment the THR journalist, James Hibberd for his excellent work calling him an “actual” journalist. In the same blog Martin comes the title of the series.

“Our working title for the show is SNOW.”

Emilia Clarke Return As Daenerys Targaryen

Emilia Clarke And Kit Harington

English actress Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, in the fantasy series disclosed that Kit personally informed her about the sequel, which is said to take place after the events of the original HBO show. But will Clarke her self be joining to reprise her role?

In the last seasons of Game of Thrones, Daenerys was shown to be romantically involved with Snow. However, the mother of dragons was killed off by Snow in the season finale. Many speculated that Emilia Clarke’s return to the GOT universe would be included in the spin-off series when it was first announced.

Clarke recently spoke with BBC on the several sequels and prequels to Game of Thrones that have been announced since the show’s conclusion. She also addressed rumors that she will resume her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the upcoming spin-off, confirming Kit Harrington’s return as Jon Snow. In response to a question regarding whether or not she will reprise her role as the Mother of Dragons in the next Game of Thrones spin-off, Clarke said the following.

“No, I think I’m done,”

Many GOT fans were disappointed by her comments, but the great actress will soon be seen in the MCU in the forthcoming Secret Invasion series. In the meanwhile, the creators of Game of Thrones have announced that they will release a spin-off entitled “House of the Dragon” later this year.

The series is set to debut on August 21, and will centre around the civil war between the Targaryens, popularly known as the Dance of the Dragons. Paddy Considine, Emmy D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Rhys Ifans, and Olivia Cooke are just some of the stars featured in the upcoming show.
