The Book of Boba Fett is a direct spin-off of The Mandalorian. It is often described as The Mandalorian 2.0. The show will bring back Temuera Morrison’s bounty hunter for his first solo adventure in the Star Wars franchise.
The show will continue the small screen expansion of the galaxy far, far away that began with The Mandalorian. And it all picks up right after the post-credits scene of the Pedro Pascal-led series. Boba Fett suffered an apparent demise in Return of the Jedi in the Sarlacc pit. But he made a surprising return in The Mandalorian. In the beginning, fans thought he would serve as the villain to Pedro Pascal’s titular hero.
But they were proved wrong when he was ultimately an ally in season 2 and helped Din Djarin save Grogu from Moff Gideon’s forces. However, it’s not known if Djarin will be returning the favor and helping Fett in his adventure. But even if he doesn’t show up, it’s known that Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand will be by his side when he takes over Jabba’s underworld empire. However, the rumors of Din Djarin showing up in the show are not dying. They are doing the rounds on social media, and their intensity has been excited. But will he appear? The Book of Boba Fett’s lead actor clarifies these rumors.
Will Pedro Pascal Show Up In The Book of Boba Fett?
In an interview with GamesRadar, Boba Fett star Temuera Morrison discussed what fans could expect to see in The Book of Boba Fett. The star first said he was “blown away” by the public’s reaction when the Disney+ spin-off was first announced. He said:
“I was blown away by the [public] reaction – [it] could have gone either way.”
He was then asked if Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin would be showing up in his show. Morrison said that he can’t say anything right now regarding this. However, he did say that there were some colorful and beautiful things that fans should expect to see. Here’s his full quote:
“I can’t say anything, but we have some wonderful, colorful things to look forward to. I don’t want to say too much about it because we’re all going to go on this journey together. And every little bit of information is pretty precious now.”
The site also released a brand new still from the show along with the reveal. They still showed off Boba Fett in action. You can see it below:
Boba Fett And Mando Team-Up Again?
It makes sense that Morrison is so tight-lipped about Din Djarin appearing in the show. After all, giving it away will be a huge spoiler. Apart from this, the Boba Fett actor’s comments indicate that the spin-off will include surprises. But we don’t know right now whether this surprise will include the lead star of The Mandalorian. Based on the show’s place in the Star Wars timeline, it would make sense for Din Djarin to get featured at some point in the storyline.
It’s possible that Fett would look towards Djarin for help during a potential mission. And Din Djarin will help since Fett assisted him during Grogu’s rescue.
We know that The Mandalorian showrunners Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are helping with the show. So Pascal’s involvement will be a great addition. It was teased before that Fett will struggle with taking over the underworld since he isn’t experienced when it comes to running a criminal syndicate. So, there’s certainly a chance that Djarin will give Fett advice about his new situation. Of course, accompanying this will be the thrilling action sequences that the pair will surely get bound up in when or if Din Djarin does show up.
The Book of Boba Fett will premiere on Disney+ on December 29, 2021.
