Warner Bros. has reportedly apologized to Shazam! Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg for spoiling Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman cameo in the movie’s marketing campaign without telling him. The studio recognized its mistake and apologized to Sandberg for not keeping him in the loop about the marketing campaign. Sandberg explained that he was surprised and didn’t know about Wonder Woman’s appearance in the marketing campaign. He also noted that the studio apologized to him for not keeping him in the loop.

He explained that he wanted to keep Rachel Zegler’s character’s identity a secret, but it was impossible once trailers started coming out.
